Amanda Bynes Put on Psychiatric Hold After Police Find Her Completely Naked on Street Corner

Amanda Bynes was placed on a psychiatric hold after being found naked in California. This has been confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Police responded to a Sunday call at 6:45 AM to find a 36-year-old female “completely naked” at the corner of Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles.

LAPD reported that Bynes seemed to be suffering from mental illness and placed Bynes on a psychiatric stay.

Officers couldn’t provide more details on the statements but it was confirmed that Bynes had been taken to the hospital. According to the LAPD, a psychiatric hold typically lasts 72 hours. However, the length can be extended.

Our request for comment was not immediately answered by Bynes’ family lawyer.

The news about the ex-Nickelodeon child star is coming on the heels of her absence from the 90s Con event at Hartford, Connecticut this weekend.

Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson, her former co-stars in “All That,” shared an emotional message with Bynes as she missed the reunion.

“I’ve just been praying for her,” Mitchell said during an interview with “Entertainment Tonight.”

“It’s awesome to see she’s doing better. Which is great. We’re just continuing to pray for her on her journey, and it’s answered prayers that she’s doing a lot better,” he said, prior to the news of Bynes being put on a psychiatric hold.

“The Amanda Show” star canceled her 90s Con appearance due to an “unknown illness,” according to the media outlet.

Bynes’ attendance at the media convention would have been her first public appearance since March 2022, when her eight-year conservatorship ended.

Court documents that we obtained at the time showed that Bynes was in Ventura County. The papers stated that the court would grant Amanda Bynes’ petition for termination.

In a tentative ruling, the judge ruled that conservatorship was not necessary.

“Words can’t even describe how I feel.” It is wonderful news.” “Today’s decision by the court to end my conservatorship has been a wonderful moment.” “I want to thank all my fans for their support and love during this difficult time.” “I would also like to thank both my lawyer and my parents, for their support over these nine years,” Bynes stated in a statement through her attorney.
