Is it right for Senator Bernie Sanders (I.S.SR), to retire to three homes and live out his remaining years with the millions he earned serving socialism, as evidenced by his appearance on Friday’s “Real Time with Bill Maher,” which showed that Sanders, an 81-year-old leveler who has been in the Senate since Greta Thunberg, was four years old, maybe past his sell-by? It is now time for him to give up on any hopes of becoming the next superannuated socialist in the Oval Office.
Maher invited the retired socialist to appear on his program to promote his book It’s OK to Be Angrily About Capitalism. It’s available in paperback on Amazon for $30 (capitalistic). Bill answered, Yes. This is the difference between a socialist society and a free society. While the socialist society will strive for equality of opportunity, it will also recognize that everyone has unique talents and abilities. A socialist state will institutionalize inequalities to ensure equity in outcomes. If inequalities continue, they will resort either to confiscation or worse.
Socialism is based on the principle that everyone will enjoy the same (lower) standard of living.
On Friday, Senator Bernie Sanders told Bill Maher that he believes in “equality of opportunity” not “equity of outcomes”
Doesn’t that kind of destroy Sanders’ whole political philosophy?

Maher stated, “I believe that the word, ‘equity’, has entered our language in recent years and we didn’t hear this before.” “I believe that many people hear equity, then they hear equality as if it were one word.” It’s not exactly the same word, and it’s certainly not the same concept. Maher asked Sanders to explain how he would distinguish equity from equality.
Sanders attempted to talk Maher out of the awkward spot he accidentally put him in, but he gave up quickly. Maher was not satisfied with his answer and asked him a second question. “Equity is, in my opinion, more about ensuring the outcome.
Sanders replied sheepishly, “Yeah. It seems so. “The worst was yet to happen. Maher asked Sanders, “Which side do you stand on?” Sanders replied disingenuously that equality was his answer. Sanders answered, disingenuously, “Equality.”
We now know that he doesn’t really know. But it’s not clear if he remembered or forgot. It’s unlikely that he will stop this gravy train. That is capitalism. The socialist old man is simply providing something that society needs today.
