In the middle of a probe into Hunter Biden’s tax affairs and amid his own classified documents scandal, President Biden secured $250,000 credit for his Delaware beach house. This was a financial decision that remains mysterious.
Fox News Digital reported that Biden used the M&T Bank home equity variable rate credit on Dec. 5, to pay off the Rehoboth Beach property he and Jill Biden bought for $2.74million six years ago.
Despite repeated questions, the White House has not provided any explanations.
Biden’s press office acknowledged that there was an initial inquiry, but didn’t provide any explanations or comments before publication. Unidentified reporter inquired about the matter a few days later during an Air Force One press gaggle. She passed Karine Jean Pierre’s question to the White House Counsel’s Office.
Jean Pierre stated, “Yeah. I saw reports about that.” “I would only refer you to White House Counsel’s Office.”
Fox News Digital tried to contact the White House Counsel’s Office via its communications department but to no avail.
Fox News Digital reached out to the White House again on Thursday regarding the matter. The White House acknowledged the request, but did not respond with any explanations or comments.
It is not clear why Biden made this financial decision, which allows him up to a quarter million dollars to his home’s equity.
As a federal investigation began into Hunter Biden’s tax affairs, Biden quietly received the line of credit. This investigation was partly predicated on suspicious activity reports (SARs), regarding certain foreign transactions. According to sources familiar, those SARs involved funds from “China” and other foreign countries.
Biden also made the financial decision as many confidential documents from his time in office as vice president were found.
Biden’s lawyers found the classified materials in the Washington, D.C. office of his think tank, The Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in November and in his Wilmington, Delaware garage in December.
Attorney General Merrick Garland was forced to appoint Robert Hur, U.S. Attorney, as special counsel to investigate Biden’s handling of classified documents.
The Bidens have also made history as the first father-son pair to be simultaneously under federal investigation.
