Over 3.2 Million US Children In Public Schools Have Their Gender Identity Hidden From Parents

Parents Defending Education did an investigation and discovered that over 3.2 million children in America attend public schools that hide their child’s gender identity from parents.

Title IX was a set of rules that the Biden administration created last summer. They would have allowed teachers in U.S. public schools to withhold gender information from their students. These regulations could become federal policy if approved in May.

PDE has created a list of US public school districts that allow district officials in America to conceal students’ gender status from parents.

The controversial district policies have already triggered legal battles.

The nonprofit admits that the list may not be complete, but it does include 5,904 schools from 168 different districts. Los Angeles Unified School District and Chicago Public Schools are two of the most important school districts,

Other districts on the list include D.C. Public Schools, Baltimore City Public Schools, San Francisco Unified School District, Portland Public Schools, Seattle Public Schools, and the School District of Philadelphia.

In Washington state, 25 districts currently have policies that allow district employees to withhold gender status information from parents. Sixteen school districts in Pennsylvania have similar policies, as well as nine in New Jersey, four in Kansas, three in Iowa, and 11 in Idaho.

Nicole Neily, President at PDE, stated to the New York Post that the study revealed that all the districts had the same gender policies. This also included conservative areas.

Neily stated, “This investigation has revealed that parental exclusion strategies have been a problem coast-to-coast — that just because you live in a red state doesn’t automatically make your family immune from this issue.” ”

Neily said that the probe “only scratches” the surface of what’s going on behind closed doors in America’s schools.

“Without a doubt, there are hundreds (if not thousands) of others with similar policies on the books. We urge everyone to keep an eye out — and to let us know if they find something similar in their backyard,” she added.

Luke Berg, Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty stated that he believes gender policies in public schools are more common than those in the PDE investigation. Because guidelines are not always documented.

Berg stated, “All of these policies violate the constitutional rights of parents under the United States Constitution, and possibly other state constitutions. “
