Randi Weingarten, Head of Teachers Union, Calls for Extensive Firearms Seizure

Many gun control advocates are offering a variety of solutions to the problem of school shootings in the wake of the Nashville attack. Few have the courage Randi Weingarten, president of the teacher’s union, displayed Tuesday in a speech to the American Federation of Teachers.

How can we tell it was courageous? Weingarten explained that this is how.

“Today we renew our call to common-sense gun safety legislation, including banning assault weapons,” Weingarten stated, “this is an epidemic.”

It’s becoming very boring. Weingarten suggested that the proceedings be spiced up by calling for a ban not only on “assault weapons,” but all guns.

It’s an epidemic that our great country must address. How many people will be affected before we can do the same thing as Australia, New Zealand, and Scotland? This epidemic must be solved, and it’s up to each of us to solve it.

Australia, New Zealand, and Scotland all participated in a large-scale gun confiscation program. Weingarten spoke the quiet part loudly and then moved quickly to conceal the fact that she had just requested the confiscation of 300 million guns in the United States.

Fox News:

Weingarten later claimed that her words were “doctored” by MSNBC to suggest that she had called for gun forfeiture.

“Frankly, I saw today in my speech when I called on us to do a moment of silence for the Tennessee Christian school too, you know, in a speech that I was given to public school parents and teachers, but to also renew a call for the assault weapons ban. And then somebody doctored the speech and said I was calling to confiscate guns. So, all day long that’s what I’ve been dealing with,” Weingarten said.

She said, “But the main point is, they want to make a widening despair and widening anxiety, not solve the actual problems we need to solve which are gun violence, learning loss, sadness, and the sadness that children have.” In my speech today and in defense of public education, I tried to discuss not only the problems but also four possible solutions to improve American education.

“Somebody doctored this speech”? Who was that “somebody?” It must have been the ventriloquist in the back row.

Weingarten is a lying liar. Weingarten is a liar.

There is nothing we can do.
