Would you consider doing business in a country whose government has committed genocide or religious persecution? If you’re Elon Musk, the answer is an emphatic “no.” The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) many ongoing crimes evidently do not disturb Musk, who is planning to expand his Tesla China branch with a huge new factory.

CCP state media outlet Xinhua News was excited to announce that Tesla would build a new mega factory in China to manufacture Megapack, the company’s massive energy-storage battery. It seems that labor is much cheaper in China. Musk calls himself an “absolutist in free speech” and proclaims his love for humanity. It’s profit that Tesla and Twitter CEOs value more than principles.
However, Musk’s hypocrisy does not surprise them. According to reports, Tesla workers were forced to work under extremely inhumane conditions in China’s zero-COVID lockdowns of early 2022. Musk also endorsed Taiwan’s unjust claims by the CCP. Musk is known to have violated his pro-free speech humanitarianism principles when it suits him.
According to Xinhua, Tesla will begin construction on the new battery plant during the third quarter of 2023. According to Tesla representatives, the plant will begin production in the second quarter of 2024. CCP surveillance of all major Chinese businesses is mandatory. The CCP also practices “civil-military fusion”, where everything in the tech and economic spheres can be accessed by the Chinese military. From Xinhua
Initial production of 10,000 Megapack units per year will be done by the new factory, which is equivalent to approximately 40 GWh of energy storage. These products will be sold around the world…The factory’s landing is expected to create an additional industrial cluster valued at over 100 billion yuan (14.6 million US dollars), according to Lu Yu, an official of the Lin-gang Special Area Administration…In January 2019, Tesla opened its Shanghai Gigafactory…
The plant was Tesla’s first Gigafactory located outside the United States. It produced 710,000 vehicles in 2022. This is a 48 percent increase over 2021. The plant has been Tesla’s main vehicle export hub. Electric cars are selling well in Asia-Pacific and Europe, as well as other regions.
Lingang has seen a significant increase in investment by Tesla since 2019.
Musk is increasing his production in China despite the CCP’s crimes and its blatantly open interference in Chinese businesses. That’s insane.
According to a translation of the article published on Beijing Channel and The Post Millennial, Musk also wrote an August article for China Cyberspace. This magazine is run by the Cyberspace Administration of China. Musk attempted to promote interest from the CCP in his microchip and artificial intelligence as well as space travel projects.
Recent testimony by survivors of the CCP’s horrible internment camps for Uyghur Muslims was made to Congress. They spoke out about CCP brainwashing and sexual abuse, as well as forced sterilization and other inhumane conditions. CCP also used genocidal tactics against Tibetans and Mongolians. The CCP is alleged to have committed the “Tiananmen 2.0 massacre” against anti-regime protesters a few months back. The CCP is targeting Uyghur Muslims and Chinese Christians as well as Falun Gong because of their religious beliefs.
The CCP, which has killed more than 500 million people, is history’s most prolific mass killer. Musk would like to do more business. It’s infuriating and, to my mind, traitorous. Musk is helping the CCP, which is a deeply evil organization, achieve its goal of overtaking the U.S.A as the world’s most powerful power. It’s time that American businessmen put principles and patriotism above profit and power.
