Larry Elder Enters the Growing Pool of Republican Presidential Candidates for 2024

Larry Elder is a conservative media figure who ran for California Governor during the recall election in 2021. He has now announced his White House bid for the 2024 election.

Elder stated that his father, brothers, and he were the only ones who had not served in the military during a Fox News Channel appearance on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Thursday. He said: “I don’t feel good about it.” He added that he felt a “moral” and “religious” as well as a “patriotic” duty to give back to the country.

He said it was a “disgraceful Lie” that Democrats claim the country is racist.

Elder wants to bring attention to the issue of fatherless families and America’s welfare program.

“Since the mid-1960s, public policy has incentivized women to marry the government, and incentivized men to abandon their financial and moral responsibility. This is not a problem; it is a crisis,” Elder has written.

During California’s 2021 gubernatorial recall contest, Elder trounced the field of potential replacement candidates. But Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom was not ultimately recalled by voters — he remained in office and then went on to win re-election during the state’s 2022 governor’s race.

“America is declining, but it is not inevitable. Politicians are cynical and detached. I have seen how decades of Democrat control in California have turned the Golden State into an unaffordable, dystopia for many. I will not let them do that to America. We can enter a Golden Age in America, but first, we need to choose a leader that can lead us there. That’s why I’m running for President,” Elder noted on elderforpresident.com.

He joins the GOP field of candidates for president, which includes former U.S. President Donald Trump and former U.S. Nikki Haley is the ambassador to the United Nations, Vivek Ramaswamy is an entrepreneur and writer, and former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson. Asa Hutchinson.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will likely enter the race, but U.S. Senator Tim Scott from South Carolina announced an exploratory group, which indicates that he could eventually join the fray.
