According to Arizona authorities, a 4-year-old boy died on Saturday morning after being discovered unconscious in the pool of a Phoenix hotel.
Fire officials claimed that the child was in the Courtyard by Marriott pool for an unknown amount of time before someone called 911.
Hotel staff pulled the child out of the pool and performed CPR on the child until paramedics arrived at 12 pm.
Phoenix Fire Department Capt. Scott Douglas, a Phoenix Fire Department Captain, said.
Douglas told the media that a crisis response team was called in to assist the family.
The boy died soon after arriving at the hospital.
It is not known if the boy was being supervised by a person older or if a lifeguard was present.
Phoenix Fire Department is yet to reply to our request for more information.
