Chicago, Illinois officials turned Richard J. Daley College in to a migrant housing where 400 border-crossers and illegal immigrants now live.
Despite the opposition of local residents, Chicago mayor Brandon Johnson (D), is housing 400 border-crossers and illegal immigrants in Daley College. Another 400 are housed in Wilbur Wright College. This will continue at least until summer.
City officials have confirmed that migrant families who have children younger than 18 are staying in the college. Border crossers and illegal immigrants have been filling Chicago police stations, including a closed elementary school.
Last month, the Chicago City Council approved $51,000,000 in local funds to be used to shelter, feed, and care for thousands of illegal immigrants and border crossers who have just arrived from the United States and Mexico border.
Johnson praised funding for migrants, despite the fact that residents were strongly opposed to the plan.
One resident said: “How dare they give $51 million to migrants!” I demand that you have the same passion to pass the City of Chicago Reparations Ordinance, and give us an Office for Black Americans just like the Office of New Americans.
