Musk Implies Targeted Approach in Trump’s Indictment

Elon Musk, Twitter’s billionaire owner, argued that the indictment of former President Donald Trump by the Department of Justice could lead to the public losing trust.

Trump is currently the frontrunner for the Republican presidential primaries in 2024.

Musk tweeted on Thursday night that “there does seem to be a far greater interest in pursuing Trump than other people in political life.” Musk added that “it is very important for the justice system to rebut what seems to be differential enforcement, or they will lose the trust of the public.”

The former president announced the indictment on Thursday night via his social media platform Truth Social. He used the opportunity to criticize the Justice Department for its hypocrisy.

Trump stated on Truth Social that “the corrupt Biden administration has informed my lawyers that I have apparently been indicted over the Boxes Hoax,” despite the fact that Joe Biden owns 1850 Boxes, some of which are located at the University of Delaware. Additional Boxes can be found in Chinatown D.C. and at the University of Pennsylvania. Documents were also scattered all over the floor of his garage, where he parks the Corvette and is only “secured” by a paper-th

This was a reference earlier this year to the revelations that Biden had also multiple batches of documents confidential in his possession. The same possible crime for which Trump is under indictment.

Trump wrote also that the United States is in “serious and rapid decline.”

Trump, the first president to be indicted in U.S. History, claimed that “the most corrupt administration” in history is after him.

Former President Bush called the case “election interfering” and “the biggest witch hunt in history.” He said that he would “of course,” plead not guilty to the charges in federal court Tuesday.

The news was shocking to the media. MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow, a prominent liberal journalist, even asked if Trump might seek a “political revolution” by telling the Department of Justice he would withdraw from the 2024 presidential election.
