Lebron James’ Son Bronny Hospitalized After Cardiac Arrest

Bronny James (18), the son of basketball legend LeBron James, collapsed during a team exercise due to an apparent cardiac event.

Bronny James was about to start his first season with the University of Southern California (USC) Trojans.

Bronny James collapsed during a practice session at the Galen Center, where the Trojans train and play. He was taken to an intensive care unit on Monday. He is now out of ICU.

The James family issued a press release that included:

“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest. The medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update the media when there is more information.”

Around 9:30 am on Monday, a 911 call was made. James, unconscious, was transported to a hospital by ambulance.

According to TMZ, the ambulance responded to a situation called “Code 3” which is an emergency response involving sirens and flashing lights.

Bronny James’ condition is said to be stable. It was not immediately known if and when Bronny James would be able to return to the court.

The term “TMZ”, which stands for the “thirty mile-zone,” is used to describe an area covering greater Los Angeles and its surrounding communities. This zone is used by film studios to plan driving distances for crews and calculate per diem rates. The southeast corner of Beverly Boulevard and La Cienega is where the epicenter of “TMZ” can be found.

Bronny James is eligible to be drafted into the NBA in 2024. LeBron James, Bronny’s father, has expressed a desire to play with Bronny in the NBA.

LeBron James is also a vocal critic on social issues.

Lebron James, arguably the most wealthy and successful basketball player in history, reported “racist” graffiti at his Los Angeles home in an early morning 911 call. The police investigation failed to identify the culprit – someone had already painted over the alleged racist slur before the police arrived. This led some sports pundits to question whether a crime ever took place.

LeBron has always been vocal about racism towards black people. In June 2022, he was again in the news when three black teens beat a teenager to death in Akron (Ohio). Akron, LeBron’s hometown and the location of his I Promise School for disadvantaged children, was in the news again in June 2022.

James at first kept quiet about the brutal killing, but he released a short tweet after several days.
