DeSantis is a good Governor, but it’s *very* frustrating that he’s flying around the country as Floridians struggle with high insurance rates. It’s bad enough to cost Florida Republicans many of their seats next year in the legislature elections if it doesn’t get fixed quickly.

Anyone under 70 years old is this blind to the lavish wonders of our decentralized economic system? A decentralized economy that allows for maximum productivity anywhere and anytime?

I can’t imagine.

In the Zoom economy, your physical location has little to do with how well you can get things done. My most important strategic partner lives four hours to the north. But it’s as if we were 4,000 miles apart because we only meet each other a few time a year. It doesn’t affect our effectiveness or productivity at all. The division of labor is what’s meant.

There’s no reason you can’t go offsite or out of state, or even the region, unless the sole purpose of your day is to shake hands at the office or, in DeSantis case, in the Governor’s Mansion.

One of my lawyer partners moved to London, England for one year. We talked as much as when she worked and lived in the same area. Even though a governor is running for president, he or she can spend days in hotel rooms and campaigning, yet still accomplish as much as if he or she never left their governor’s office.

Slack and Microsoft Teams as well as Zoom, OneDrive etc. are some of the innovative technologies that enable our remote economy.

DC_Draino probably understands it. Then, this is all just politics. DC supports the second-tier candidate. We don’t always agree with the opponent of our chosen candidate, but for some reason we do when we choose a candidate after 2016.

Reagan’s 11th Commandment is not a good example. Too quaint. I’m confident in saying that we shouldn’t do politics this way. All candidates can be agreed with unless they are really against it. Even your favorite candidate will say things you don’t agree with. My preferred candidate may have the wrong position, while their opponent’s is more in line with mine.

I’m not sure about you, but I really love this stuff. I love it. I talk about it. I dream about it. How much more fun would it be to debate issues without venom or nitwittery in the past?

My posts on X reveal a more edgier side of me. My posts on X can sometimes elicit absurd and outlandish reactions. This is coming from Republicans.

I have chosen to ignore the majority of replies in recent times, for fear that I would put a plastic bag on my head.

A week like this really drives home my point about the importance moral, principled and conservative leadership in the country. Someone serious, intelligent, and wise, with the right mix of confidence and humility. This choice is too important to make wrong.

Some seem to understand the urgency of the situation. Some have even a candidate in mind.

The last few years taught me that weak leadership creates chaos and instability. I am all for disruptors but would like to see a bit less chaos and disturbance for a few months.
