Trump Believes Israel and Hamas Fight Is Between Civilization and Savagery

There is good reason for many people to view the war between Israel and Hamas in this way. Donald Trump, as he has done so many times before, said what others thought but were afraid to say.

Trump said on Saturday: “The battle between Israel and Hamas represents a struggle between civilization and barbarism, between good and bad. It is impossible to compare a group that worships death with a group that cherishes life. Hamas is solely responsible for every single death in this conflict.

He had good reason to believe this. According to the UK Express, among the video footage Israel released recently of the Hamas terror attacks of October 7 is a recording of “a Hamas militant ringing his mom with one of their victims’ phones and saying: “I killed 10 Jews myself.” I’m calling you from the phone of a dead Jewish woman.

Imagine for a second that you are the mother or dad of a man who has murdered 10 people. What kind of person is your son if, not only did he commit these murders but also called you to brag about them? What kind of person are you if, in this situation, you’re a proud mama or papa? What could account for such a mindset? How could anyone believe that these savages, because that’s what they are, have moral superiority? It is now clear that too many people, especially in the West, assume they are. Few people understand the depth of this obsession with death.

The young mass killer was not unique. He was proud that he had been taught to enjoy death. Khatib Badel, a Syrian journalist of the opposition, said in April 2020 that Muslim Arabs have a trait that makes them different from other peoples. This is their love of death. We think about death every day, we dream about it and it is a source of inspiration. We love death, and we love the dead. We say with defeatism, “God [help me] to go to war and reach my grave.” Instead of wishing for longevity and a life filled with giving and love, we hope for a life that is full of giving and love. It is not just the slogans that we [like] to chant, such as ‘death for America’ or ‘better humiliation than death’ but also the more modest ones like ‘death will be better’ and seek death to get life in the next world ].'”

Islamic jihadis tend to love and idolize death. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the Boston Marathon jihad killer, wrote as police closed in: “You’re fighting men who see heaven in the barrel of your weapon.” On the wall of a pleasure boat where he was hiding, he also wrote: “You’re fighting men who are looking into the barrel and seeing heaven.”

The jihad mass killer Mohamed Merah who killed little children in a Jewish school said that he loved death more than the victims did.

The wife of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the al-Qaeda leader and top dog in this matter, once gave advice to Muslim women on the issue: “I advise that you raise your children to be devoted to the cults of martyrdom and jihad. Instill in them an appreciation for religion and death.”

One jihadist summarized it: “We love the death.” Maulana Inyadullah, a jihadist from Afghanistan, said years ago: “You love your life!”

This idea is not the strange opinion of a gang of “extremists.” It comes from the Qur’an itself: “Say, O you who are Jews, if you claim that you are favored of Allah apart from mankind, then long for death if you are truthful.” (62:6)

Trump is right. Hamas, and its allies will never be able to win the war in the end because of their brutality: loving death isn’t natural. Love of life is. Unknowingly, the young man, who proudly called his mother to tell her that he had murdered Jews, has many people in the West, Jews and non-Jews alike, who are delighted when they save a human life instead of destroying one. The lovers of life have many silent allies when they face the lovers or death: each living thing stands up as a rebuke for those who only want to destroy and cause carnage. After the lovers have destroyed their world and been brought down, they lovers will rebuild.
