A suspect has been arrested after a stabbing occurred at a Southern California Amazon facility on Tuesday.
Orange County Sheriff’s Department reported that the stabbing took place at around 9:30 am near Obrero Drive, and Jeronimo Road, in Mission Viejo, a suburb of Orange County just south of Los Angeles.
The victim was transported to hospital in a critical condition. KTTV described her as a woman aged 40 who works for Amazon.
According to reports, the incident occurred in the Amazon building.
A man was arrested as the suspect. Orange County Sheriff’s Department warned the public to stay away from the area around the facility.
Alisa Carroll stated that Amazon was “shocked” by the senseless violence. The company is committed to providing support to its employee, both now and during her recovery, and also for their team.
She added, “We are grateful for the quick response of EMS and Police and we will continue to assist them throughout their investigation.”
