Newsom’s APEC Preparations Give DeSantis a Pre-Debate Boost

Last time I checked, the much-anticipated Fox News debate on November 30th between Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and California Gov. Gavin Newsom was still on. While Gov. DeSantis is doing the work, he has also demonstrated national leadership qualities. Gov. Newsom has shown his buffoonery in many ways, including during a San Francisco Press Conference held before the start of the APEC meeting.

I reported earlier that the city, which was once known as the “golden city”, rushed to clean up drug paraphernalia, poop, and homeless people before the opening day celebrations began on Saturday. This was to impress the powerful guests scheduled to arrive, such as President Joe Biden of the United States and China’s President Xi Jinping who are meeting in a high-stakes setting on Wednesday.

On Thursday, Newsom appeared before the media and cameras, flanked by the city’s woke Mayor, London Breed, as well as the state Transportation Sec. Incredibly, Toks Omishakin announced a street-tree nursery, part of the beautification plan.

Newsom made an admission that was very telling and confirmed speculations as to why the city is in such a frenzy (bolded accent added) to improve things.

“We are cleaning up this State! California Governor Gavin Newsom praised Clean California during the unveiling in San Francisco of a street-tree nursery.

“I know people say, ‘Oh, they’re just cleaning this place up because all these fancy leaders are going to town.’ Newsom said that while it is true, it was also true months before APEC.

It’s not that DeSantis was in need of help. He’s Newsom down to his COVID-19 dictatorial policies and Newsom’s hair gel (see the video below).

I can’t imagine a better gift to give Newsom ahead of the debate than to confirm San Francisco’s and California’s priorities revolve around presidential wannabe Gavin Newsom pretending to do something for the Important People while the residents of California continue to suffer. Many have even decided to leave the state and move to red states such as DeSantis Florida.

Newsom believes that planting nurseries will help California restore its badly tarnished reputation. If this is not proof of his priorities, then I don’t what else could be.
