Biden’s Border Crisis Hits Home as Military Families Miss Army-Navy Game

Joe Biden’s failure to properly secure the border has caused massive problems.

Illegal aliens are flooding into cities with limited resources and limitations to help them. Joe Biden, who is supposed to be protecting the country, should be protecting our border from such a crisis.

He hasn’t done it. Sen. Joni Ernest (R-IA), a Republican senator from Iowa, criticized Biden for a specific problem that resulted from his failure. Military families and veterans who were trying to attend an Army-Navy match on December 9 at Gillette Stadium are having their reservations canceled because illegal aliens have been housed in those hotels.

Ernst stated that illegal aliens should not be able to book rooms in hotels with veterans or military families, and Biden’s actions directly hurt veterans and their families.

In the letter, Ernst stated: “It is clear that these cancellations were due to the decision of your administration to send illegal immigrants across the nation to sanctuary cities on taxpayers’ expenses.”

She said, “Due to your unconscionable border crisis, which has allowed almost eight million illegal migrants to enter the country, future and current servicemembers, and their families, will not be able to attend this event,” [….]

Your administration’s failures to secure the southern border are unacceptable. It is also unacceptable that our veterans and their families be forced to relocate because your administration has failed to secure it. “Military families who have saved and scrimped to be able to afford to go to an Army-Navy match should not have competed with illegal migrants for hotel rooms,” Ernst wrote.

Mark Mansbach of Hillsdale Travel in New Jersey told Fox that 60 rooms at various hotels had been canceled. “This is something he’s never seen before, even after 20 years of preparing military families for games.” We reported that about 70 of Mark Mansbach’s rooms were taken by illegal aliens. He said that about 40-50 families were displaced and had to find a new place to stay. The families are now faced with the dilemma of having to pay more to stay somewhere else or canceling their trip altogether if it is out of reach.

Mansbach is the only one dealing with this. Unknown is the exact number of rooms that Americans will lose due to this. Imagine the impact of such a displacement at multiple events.

This priority is a reflection of the Biden Team, and especially their commitment to the families of those who have served. Biden speaks of those who “stand and watch” and refers to their families. He has no issue with the families being thrown under a bus.

Other people joined Ernst to blast Biden. Sen. Tom Cotton, R-AR, said: “What an apt description of the Biden Administration – illegal immigrants come before Americans.”
