Benny Johnson hosted the podcast “Benny Show”, in which Tennessee Republican Tim Burchett appeared. Burchett was asked why conservative members of Congress voted for unconservative things. His answer made people all across the country gasp.
He said, “Here is how it works.”
You’re on vacation, you’re away from home or town or in a hotel or bar in D.C. –and your favorite man or woman comes up. They laugh at your jokes. You buy them a drink. The next thing you know you’re naked in their motel room.
What happens when you are about to cast a crucial vote? What happens when a well-dressed individual whispers into your ear that there are tapes on you? Or, “Were you with whomever in a hotel room?”
Burchett gave his opinion on why the “Lolita Express'” flight logs have not been made public.

Burchett said to Newsmax that “too many of my co-workers are compromised, for whatever reason, in this area.” Someone whispered into their ears, saying “You don’t want to hear something about something else. You better keep your mouth closed on this.” This is exactly what they did. It continues whether it is the “honeypot” that the Russians used, or something worse. I don’t know. You can see it down. You can see that good conservatives are voting for liberal policies.
Florida Representative Anna Paulina Luna agreed:
I travel with my husband at all times. If he cannot come with me, I have a female staffer as an alibi. I don’t even touch alcohol in DC. DC can be a nasty place. Keep your circle tight and just anticipate you’re always being watched. That is how this game operates. https://t.co/pOpI7FIVXf

I don’t know how much Burchett is aware of, but I doubt he would betray himself by making such a false statement, as the odds of contradiction are too high.
We do know that conservative Congressmen are at a higher risk of being accused of sexual impropriety. Madison Cawthorn’s case, for example, is very similar to Burchett’s. Matt Gaetz has been accused of what appears to be false allegations of sex trafficking. There are a lot of conservative votes that leave you scratching your head. Burchett offers a “unified field” theory to explain these actions. This also reminds us about the “Pence Rule.” The “Pence Rule,” made famous by former Vice President Mike Pence, but followed by men since time immemorial by all sane people, states that you should not have private meetings or dinners with other members of the same gender, or the opposite gender if they are on the team you support. Vox.com, (naturally), found a lawyer who claimed that the behavior was illegal — or at least suspicious.
If Burchett can prove this, I hope he will leak more information to someone who won’t be afraid to report the story. It makes no sense for you to work with conservative senators and representatives if they are unable to control their libidos or are sexually compromised.
