Eli Crane’s Christmas Display Sparks Hilarious Online Fight Between Dem Comms Aide and Religious Conservatives

As the holiday season kicks into high gear, outdoor Christmas displays have begun in all parts of America.

This tradition is also found in the halls and offices of Congress. Friendly competitions between co-workers outside the office are usually held to spread goodwill, and sometimes a message of importance.

It seems a Republican member of Congress has ruffled a few Democrat feathers on Capitol Hill with his unique display.

Rep. Eli Crane is a freshman GOP Congressman from Arizona. Crane, a former Navy SEAL who registered to serve a week after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, has made the border crisis a focal point of his legislative agenda and frequently speaks out on the topic.

Decorations outside his office depict a border crisis theme with a brick wall and elves. There are also snowflakes and signage related to the border on the doors.

This did not sit well with Jason Tufele Carl Johnson, the comms director for Democrat Rep. Raul Grijalva, who is also from Arizona:

Normally, I wouldn’t listen to a random Congressional staffer. We’re going there because it’s a Friday and the responses are hilarious. And we could all use a good laugh.

This was the best, as the snowflakes were being used against Johnson.

The “marked-safe” graphic was also timely:

Another said, “I hope you make it through this.”

“We have Democrat Congress critters who are siding with Hamas, and he is worried about Christmas Decorations.” Erick Erickson told him to cry harder.

This tweet was shared in the spirit and style of Sen. John Kennedy, R-La. This was tweeted by the Twitter machine, which often advises Democrats to complete “hurt feeling reports” and move forward.

Zach Kahler responded to the anger expressed by Crane’s comms staff after a Democrat pile-on took place.

When they speak up against it, I will take their opinions seriously.

Until then…
