Empire State Building Lights Up to Honor Hamas’ Qatar National Day

Who loves Hamas? A growing number of leftists have embraced Hamas after terrorists murdered 1,200 Israelis in the Oct. 7 massacre. We can now add the Empire State Building to the list of supporters.

It’s up to the managers of the Empire State Building to decide whether they want to honor their largest shareholder. This case is especially egregious, as it raises concerns about the propriety and legality of non-friendly countries owning a part of American landmarks.

Just over two months earlier, on October 7, Hamas leaders, including Ismail Haniyeh, Khaled Mashal, and others were captured on video watching the news of Hamas’ massacres in Israel and prostrating in gratitude to Allah for killing Jews. The leaders were sitting in an office with a luxurious interior in Doha, Qatar’s capital.

Hamas “Political Bureau” as opposed to its military i.e. Since 2012, the terrorist wing of Hamas is located in Doha. Haniyeh, Mashal, and their families live in Doha in opulent digs. Reuters reported on October 16, “A bipartisan group consisting of 113 U.S. legislators sent a letter asking President Joe Biden to exert pressure on countries that support Hamas including Qatar.” Qatar, which is a non-NATO ally of the United States and has been a conduit for U.S. dialogues with the Taliban ever since U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, was asked to expel Hamas’ leadership. The letter stated that “The country’s ties to Hamas…are just unacceptable.”

The Biden regime’s America Last leadership is exemplified by the fact that the main response to this letter seems to be lighting the Empire State Building with Qatari colors on its national day. Qatar should never have been allowed to purchase a piece in the Empire State Building. Daniel Greenfield, an investigative journalist, reminds us what the 9/11 Commission Report had to say about Qatar’s involvement in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The 9/11 Commission reported that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was one of the masterminds behind the attacks. He, along with Haniyeh, Mashal, and Haniyeh, all lived in Qatar.

The 9/11 Commission report says that a Qatari official may have warned KSM about the indictment. Khalid Sheikh Mohammed evaded arrest (and remained at large to play a crucial part in the 9/11 attacks). ABC News reported that in 2003, in the 1990s the FBI and CIA were very close to capturing Mohammed. However, “a member of Qatar’s royal family, Abdullah Bin Khalid al-Thani, protected him and tipped him off.”

Qatari officials, now that the heat has been turned up, have indicated that they’re “open to revisiting the presence of Hamas in Qatar.” This is wonderful, but their aid to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed shows which side the government is. Qatar also supports the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Muslim Brotherhood’s U.S. plan is detailed in a captured internal document: “The Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) must understand that their American work is a grand Jihad to eliminate and destroy the Western civilization and “sabotage” its miserable house with their hands and those of their followers so that they are eliminated and God’s Religion is victorious over other religions.”

It is a strange notion that unbelievers will sabotage the house they live in. This idea became more apparent when the Empire State Building was lit up to celebrate Qatar’s National Day. Qatar bought into the Empire State Building, and probably much more. This has blunted any criticism that it may receive for supporting the global jihad. Owners of the Empire State Building, as well as many other businesses and properties in America, have financial reasons to look the other way when Haniyeh or Mashal kneel in Doha and thank Allah for the murder of Israelis. They will do nothing as long as they keep getting paid.

That’s pretty much the American Way. If the nation acts as if it only cares about the bottom line, then it will not be a nation for very long.
