Sunshine State Shines Brighter: Post-Debate Poll Buoys DeSantis After GOP Smackdown

Published on

A new poll conducted after the debate brought some good news to Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis. He. was named the winner of the GOP showdown that took place earlier this week. He had been voted the “best” candidate on stage among the four candidates who had qualified. While this is certainly something to put in the “wins” column, DeSantis still trails former President Donald Trump by a wide margin in national polls. The other three candidates have even more of a deficit.

DeSantis occupied the center of the stage at this event. He was surrounded by the former South Carolina Governor. Nikki Haley was literally at the center of attention, surrounded by former South Carolina Gov. Chris Christie and other candidates vying to represent the Republican Party in the presidential election of 2024.

One can now ask why DeSantis and the others are still running, given that they have no real chance of catching Trump. This is a legitimate question, especially considering that only one million people watched the debate. The public already knows where the candidates stand and what they have to say. There is nothing new being said, and no one cares about their bickering. The debate had no point. The primary election is already decided by most people.

Daily Wire:

DeSantis was rated the highest by 30% of those who watched NewsNation’s debate in Alabama. Haley came second with 23%, Christie third with 19%, and Ramaswamy fourth at 16%.

DeSantis was rated the worst by 7% of respondents, followed by Haley at 9%, Christie at 31%, and Ramaswamy at 37%.

The poll did not show much movement regarding the candidates that voters would be considering voting for.

DeSantis was the most popular candidate among those who were on stage. 56% of them said they would vote for him. Former President Donald Trump who did not take part received 61%

Megyn Kel, a popular conservative podcaster, stated that she also believed DeSantis was the winner of the debate. She went on to say Haley was the biggest loser. Haley’s “girl boss” message is more damaging than helpful. This is the same attitude that we are constantly beaten with by the radical left. It’s very off-putting.

We know she is a strong woman, an independent woman who has achieved a great deal. It’s not necessary to be rude. It’s just not good. It’s annoying, however, when someone steps forward and acts as if he is the Lord’s blessing to the world. You can maintain humility while being confident.

Kelly said in an interview that she thought Nikki Haley had lost the election last night because she appeared to be a shrinking figure. She’s increased her poll numbers through her pugilistic behavior, but this version of Haley did not appear last night.

She continued, “I thought Ron DeSantis’ debate was his best yet.” “I think you can probably say that he is the winner because he has the highest polling position among the four.”

Although it seems that Trump will be the Republican Party’s nominee, anything could happen between now and then. Trump is currently facing four indictments for a variety of different, and I dare say “false” charges. This could lead to his disqualification from the election.

It’s not something I expect to happen, but there’s always a chance. DeSantis may also be the one to challenge Biden in 2016. They have a lot more to do before they are considered serious contenders.
