The First Lady Jill Biden received a lot of criticism after she posted a video on X that showed dancers twirling around the White House, which is decorated for the holidays. This year’s theme is “Magic, Wonder, and Joy.”
The caption was shared with the video on the @FLOTUS official account by the first lady in a post made to X (formerly Twitter).
“A bit of magic, wonder, and joy brought to you by the talented tappers of Dorrance Dance, performing their playful interpretation of The Nutcracker Suite. Enjoy!” the first lady’s post read.
Social media users didn’t seem as if they were enjoying the music.
One viewer wrote: “The United States of Bananas”
Another wrote: “Imagine believing that this will give America the Christmas Spirit.”
You are so odd. Bizarre. “Freaky”, said one.
Melania’s video was shared by a commenter when Donald Trump was president. They said it was beautiful, seasonal, appealing to all, and stunning, unlike Biden’s which they described as “utterly tacky and tasteless.”
One viewer commented, “Looks as if the White House switched from cocaine and acid,” an apparent reference to cocaine being found at the executive mansion early this year.
The video featured dancers wearing brightly colored costumes prancing around the White House. However, many viewers said that the video had nothing to do with Christmas.
Another person wrote: “I wonder how much that cost the taxpayers.”
Another viewer called it “absolute garbage”.
Many people asked if it was a joke and said that the video was inappropriate for children.
Some viewers wanted to know how much the video cost and what it cost the taxpayers.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the video.
