Gunmen Hijack Ecuadorian TV Station, Prompting State of Emergency Declaration

Published on

Gunshots and shouts were heard during a live broadcast of an Ecuadorian TV station on Tuesday. Masked gunmen had invaded the studio, and viewers heard gunshots and shouting during the live feed.

Before the feed was cut off, people wearing balaclavas, mostly in black, and wielding weapons were seen accosting staffers huddled together.

Some of the intruders made gestures at the camera, and someone was heard shouting “No police”.

On social media, the national police announced that it was evacuating a studio of a public television channel in Guayaquil to “restore order”, verify the health of the staff and check the conditions.

The police in Guayaquil have confirmed 13 arrests. Photos posted on social media showed young men with their hands tied behind their backs and lying face down.

This incident occurred after the kidnapping of at least 7 police officers, and a series of explosions a day following Noboa’s declaration of a state of emergency.

If anyone was wondering, here is what an actual insurrection would look like. In a true insurrection, the rebels will use explosives and guns. They use lethal force to attack people. They hold hostages politicians, police officers, and soldiers as well as civilians. They are like this:

Police said that seven police officers were abducted in three separate incidents, in Machala in the south, Quito, and Los Rios province.

Police confirmed explosions in Esmeraldas, Los Rios, and Cuenca. Mayors’ offices in Cuenca and Quito also confirmed other incidents. The Attorney General’s Office said that it is investigating an incident in Guayaquil. Local media also reported explosions at Loja and Machala.

This is what I mean:

SNAI said that eleven prison guards, who were taken hostage in the past two days, have now been released. However, 139 other guards and staff members are still held.

Some Ecuadoreans called for action beyond the state of emergency.

This is not the same as the hooliganism of the events on January 6, 2021, in Washington, DC.

Imagine this happening in America. In the summer of 2020, we saw rioters burning and looting, resulting in billions in losses due to theft and arson. By the way, the people who are doing this are not “Extreme MAGA Trump supporters”; they are all from the left. Some of them are American leftists who have been duped into supporting terrorists. Others are socialists or Hamas supporters.

Ecuador is in for some tough times. Daniel Noboa is the new president of Ecuador. He has already declared 22 criminal gangs terrorist organizations and has declared a state of emergency for 60 days, as you would do when there’s a no-s*** uprising.

President Noboa might be sighing with relief if the gangs were only stealing staplers and selfies from the capital of Ecuador.

If an insurrection does occur in the United States despite the protests of the left on Jan. 6th, it is almost certain that the left will be the one to incite and carry out the insurrection, not the right.
