Thomas Massie Sparks Intense Clash with CNN’s Kate Bolduan in Fiery Exchange

Published on

CNN has had a bad day. Kevin O’Leary was one of the most effective critics of Letitia’s laughable civil lawsuit against Trump. Now, Rep. Thomas Massie made Kate Bolduan, CNN’s host, extremely upset.

Massie began the conversation by explaining his opposition to Speaker Mike Johnson’s deal on spending with Senator Chuck Schumer. She then asked him about his support of Gov. Ron DeSantis. Things got heated when she mentioned Massie’s voting against a pro Israel resolution.

MASSIE: Let me take the heat but also let me talk about that resolution.

BOLDUAN : Recognizing denying Israel’s right to existence is an antisemitic act

MASSIE: This is the name, this is the name of the Resolution.

BOLDUAN : What do you think?

MASSIE: Congratulations.

BOLDUAN : I can’t read the name of the resolution

MASSIE : Well done, you can read the resolution’s name. I don’t vote for the names.

BOLDUAN : I’m not sure what you’re saying, but I’m not sure you’re attempting to question my intelligence.

MASSIE: I was just saying you didn’t have the time to prepare like I did.

BOLDUAN : Did you read the two pages I read this morning in just two minutes and highlighted the resolution that the House of Representatives passed?

MASSIE: Well done, you only took two minutes.

It wasn’t over yet, but we should stop and discuss what kind of politician Massie really is. He’s also a libertarian and an extremely devout one. You can’t shame him to vote for anything. He’s a libertarian. This includes anything to do with foreign aid and foreign wars.

No one has to agree with him or his voting, but they should not question his motives. His long record shows that his views are not based in bigotry, but rather on a rigid ideology. Bolduan tried to suggest the opposite.

Massie, who is a strong proponent of free speech (remember he’s libertarian), felt that the resolution did not make a clear distinction between antisemitism and anti-Zionism. There isn’t a lot of difference in practice. I don’t agree with the congressman. But I can understand and respect the way he made his decision.

At that point, the back and forth was not over. Bolduan ended her interview with her anger sleeved.

MASSIE: This dialogue is great. I’d like to return and discuss the bills.

BOLDUAN : I am happy to talk to you at any time. I will keep researching and I don’t appreciate it when anyone suggests that I am not prepared.

Bolduan’s remarks are pretentious, to be honest. She is a woman that reads from a teleprompter as a profession. This teleprompter contains words that were mostly written by others. She and her producers tried to attack Massie for a vote she admittedly only read in two minutes, and he responded accordingly. Bolduan, however, played the victim in the entire exchange.

CNN is not afraid to take on Republicans. You can expect some of that back. Bolduan’s network will look weak if she complains about it.
