Anti-Trump Fears Escalate: Will They Flee the Country if Trump Wins?

As a Trump critic, you will have to deal negatively with people who would otherwise be on your side. I’ve been around long enough to have pissed off people many times. But, we’re both still here.

The idea that someone would “flee” the country if a politician was elected is funny to me. This is a ridiculous concept from those who think that the Constitution will continue to hold up, even if Donald Trump or Joe Biden are elected.

So when I see a headline like “Fight or flight: Fearful Trump critics weigh the risk of retribution if he’s re-elected” over at NBC News, I just laugh and laugh and laugh. These ninnies want the press to feel sorry for them and honor them for their “noble” sacrifice.

Rachel Vindman, Alexander Vindman’s wife, will turn 50 next month. In an interview, Alexander Vindman revealed that Rachel Vindman would rather save money than throw a party. She wants to keep it for the event Trump returns to the White House to try to retaliate against her husband because he was a key witness to Trump’s initial impeachment. If they need to leave the country, the family may require the money.

Vindman was a former national security official at Trump’s White House. She was fired in 2020 following Trump’s acquittal. “That’s an indication of the level she has had of concern,” Vindman said.

The Vindmans aren’t the only ones. Many people interviewed who have been snubbed by Trump reveal that they are deeply concerned about his revenge plans if he is re-elected. They’re considering how to protect themselves in case he uses the vast power of his office to punish them for grievances he’s harbored.

Some people are leaving the country in fear of being pursued by investigators or prosecuted, or losing their jobs if Trump becomes president. Some are hiring attorneys and setting money aside to fight back if they find themselves targeted by Trump’s administration or his Republican allies within Congress.

The story continues to list all the people who, both Democrats and Republicans, have been critical of former President Bush. All of them are preparing for the possibility that he could be elected again. They fear that he will retaliate against them with a vengeance, unlike anything we have ever seen.

Please know that this sentiment is not meant to be hateful, but rather a concern.

You are not unique. You’re not unique. You won’t be the victim of a grand Trumpian plot to eliminate all obstacles that stand in his path, nor will you be sacrificed to the honor and glory of the vindicative orange god.

Once he gets to the White House you are no longer an obstruction. In Trump’s mind, you’re a loser. That’s worse than death. You’re not worth pursuing.

You are worth all the ink that the media will spill to write your perilous tale. Just as you use them to get attention and spotlight, they also use you to make their case against Trump. They will do anything to feed your delusions.

Continue to write your books and make your media appearances while being terrified that Trump’s election will bring about the end of democracy, and threaten your very existence. You will live to an old age feeling threatened.
