Biden to Undergo Physical Exam at Walter Reed Hospital

Biden, after his highly criticized and softball interview with Late Night host Seth Meyers, where he made little mention of his cognitive issues and his announcement on Thursday that he’ll be going to the border, which was the same date that former President Donald J. Trump had announced months earlier, announced on Wednesday that would take a physical examination.

Does that mean “full cognitive evaluation”? Hope so.

President Biden announced Wednesday that he will be making an unannounced visit to Walter Reed Hospital to undergo a physical examination.

Since the start of his presidency, Biden has had yearly physical exams.

Walter Reed Hospital is the standard medical facility for all Presidents. It’s located in Bethesda.

After the Special Counsel Robert Hur report, which claimed that Biden had memory problems, critics have called for more transparency by the White House regarding Biden’s mental and physical health.

Will the White House be transparent with the results of the “physical examination”?

The results of Mr. Biden’s last exam showed that he had a lesion from his chest removed over the past year. However, the other findings were largely the same as those found in November 2021. This report stated that his coughing episodes were due to acid reflux. His stiffened gait, on the other hand, was caused by spinal arthritis, an old broken foot, and neuropathy.

In 2021, Mr. Biden underwent a colonoscopy during which a “benign appearing polyp” measuring 3 millimeters was removed.

He had two weak aneurysms in his brain, which were leaking. In 1988, the surgery was performed to repair them. His doctor stated that Mr. Biden had never experienced a recurrence. He cited a 2014 test that examined his arteries.

All of this does not inspire confidence in the American public. Biden did win Michigan as we reported previously, but the numbers behind it are telling and not in a positive way. Recent polls show that even Democrats do not believe that Joe Biden will be able to run for reelection.

Many Americans, Democrats included, have expressed concerns about Mr. Biden running for a second term in this fall’s elections. According to a survey by The Associated Press and the NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, only 37% of Democrats believe Mr. Biden should seek reelection. This is down from 52% in 2022, before midterm elections.

However, polls also show a similar lack of enthusiasm for Trump. This hasn’t deterred either party from advancing their nominations.

Watch the White House’s afternoon briefing and see if the White House is transparent about Biden’s results.
