The talented Karine Jean Pierre is having a time spinning Joe Biden’s problems. Proving, that no amount of talent can hide when there are no good solutions.
On Wednesday, the embattled president’s press secretary was again ineffective as she bungled question after question. Jean-Pierre said that Biden “passes every cognitive test” he takes.
Karine, does he though?
If the daily workings of the president are a test for Biden’s cognitive abilities, then he is failing miserably. He can’t even give a speech in public without generating viral videos that show his mental decline. When the president doesn’t trip on Air Force One or confuse the Presidents of Egypt and Mexico, it is a good day in the White House.
Jean-Pierre’s counter continues to be the broad results of Biden’s policy decisions. I would beg to disagree, given that the world is at its most dangerous in decades and the Southern border remains a full-blown emergency. The sky-high debt on credit cards among Americans is not the issue. They are struggling to pay their bills in light of the astronomical inflation.
Jean-Pierre concluded the segment about Biden’s senility with the statement that his doctors will not be allowed to brief journalists because the White House is trying to restore the “norm”. This excuse leaves out the fact that an 81-year-old president who walks like a nursing home patient is not normal. Even if previous presidents did not bring their doctors in to provide assurances, a guy who cannot read a sentence from a teleprompter is not like past presidents.
Jean-Pierre was asked about the border crisis and Biden’s upcoming trip to Texas. The trip was scheduled in a clear attempt to counter Donald Trump. Jean-Pierre, when asked why the trip had been planned following the announcement by the former president, insisted that the two events were not connected.
This is not the first time that the Biden administration has been behind on major issues. Incompetence or stubbornness are both possible reasons for the administration’s failure to arrive in East Palestine a year after it was announced. The president should have been at the border the moment illegal border crossings increased, to demonstrate his seriousness about the matter. Jean-Pierre, and his handlers, spent the past three years insisting that there was no emergency and no need to travel to the border. Biden is once again in hot water.
They managed to mess it up again when they were handed another easy political layup. Jean-Pierre claims that Biden did not bother to call the family who lost Laken Riley in a high-profile murder committed by an illegal immigrant.
It would only have taken a simple phone call to stop this terrible story from happening for Biden and his Democratic Party. Riley’s death was the result of their policies. But did the White House ensure that this happened? They didn’t do anything, just sat back and watched. Now they look like sociopathic ghosts. Maybe it’s just because they are.
