Outrage in Australia: Politician Calls for Elon Musk’s Arrest Over Free Speech Battle with Government

Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter/X in Australia, has been targeted by officials for his unhinged stance. He believes they are attempting to impose global content restrictions on social media.

This was a result of the posts relating the the Sydney attack on Bishop Mar Mari Emanuel, in which the government demanded that X restrict the posts. They went to court and Australia’s “eSafety Commission” argued that “geo-blocking Australia” from the posts wouldn’t be enough because Australians can have VPNs. So, they called for a global restriction on the content.

The court issued a two-day order requiring X to conceal the posts until they can argue against the restriction.

Musk and the X platform were naturally concerned about this topic.

The government officials’ reaction has been hysterical. Tanya Plibersek’s reaction to Musk was hysterical. She called him an “egotistical millionaire” and said he didn’t care about victims of the attack against Bishop Emanuel. She also accused Musk of trying to dictate to the Australian Government when in fact the opposite is true. They were trying to dictate to Musk, X, and the rest of the world, what they should and shouldn’t say.

That was just the beginning of the madness. Listen to Australian Senator Jacqui Lamie. It is a bit concerning to hear politicians talk about the need for social media users to be jailed for not complying with government directives regarding speech.

She said he was “socially insensitive.”

She said, “A person like that should go to jail and throw away the key.” “That guy shouldn’t have the right to stand out on his platform and create hatred.”

She said she was interested in what the U.S. would do with TikTok.

She confirmed, “We are trying to get rid as well of that platform (emphasis is added).”

She said the quiet part loudly. She announced that she was leaving X, and encouraged other members of Parliament to do the same.

Elon called Lambie the “enemy of the people in Australia” after he tried to limit speech.

It’s funny that the “victim”, who they use to justify these restrictions, appears to support Elon Musk.

Lawyers for X claim that Bishop Mar Mari Emanuel supports Musk’s position.

The fact that the video was available on YouTube as well as legacy media was noted, so why was X being highlighted?

This is the obvious game. Musk said:
