Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent presidential candidate, recently reaffirmed a radical pro-abortion stance. In a podcast, Kennedy Jr. stated that he supported abortions up to birth. This is an opinion that even far-leftist Democrats are reluctant to express.

Kennedy made these comments while appearing on “The Sage Steele Show.” The host inquired about the Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade. The Supreme Court’s decision returned responsibility for abortion policies to the states, instead of the federal governments.

In the interview, he said that, when it comes down to abortion decisions, “we shouldn’t involve the government” and “we should leave it up to women.”

Steele asked him if he supported abortions up to the full term. Kennedy responded in the affirmative by saying, “even if full-term abortions.” He expressed a similar position as early as 2023.

Kennedy said in August that abortions should be left to the mother during the first three months of life. He also stated that the state had a responsibility to protect the child once it was “viable outside the womb.” Kennedy’s campaign issued a response claiming that Kennedy misunderstood a question from a reporter and that his position on abortions is that “it is always the woman’s choice.”

Abortion will be a major issue in the next presidential election. Donald Trump, the former president, recently said that abortion should be left to the states. He also expressed his opposition to Congress passing laws limiting the procedure. Many on the right criticized this.

Democrats, on the other hand, have trodden a careful path when it comes to abortion. Many Democratic politicians dodged the question when asked if they supported full-term abortion. In an interview conducted in February, Joe Biden fell over himself to address criticisms of his abortion position.

“Bye the way, it’s funny how Trump now says that Biden is for abortion on request. This is not what Roe V Wade said. “They said there were three trimesters, and how it worked.”

Some Democrats have lied about their abortion positions. They claimed they did not support abortions up until the moment of birth and pretended this was something Republicans made up. Their actions, however, prove otherwise.

Seven states, including the District of Columbia, have passed laws that do not limit abortions. California, Colorado, and New Mexico have all signed laws that make late-term abortions illegal. New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, who was interviewed by Margaret Brennan in April of this year, did not hesitate to state the truth when she described her state’s law.

MARGARET BRENAN: So, tell me how you define it, because I thought there was no limit to when a woman can have an abortion. Has there been a limit set on this?

GOV. LUJAN GRISHAM: There are no limitations. For us, this means-

MARGARET BRENAN: This is a very controversial issue.

GOV. LUJAN GRISHAM: I mean, look at it, it’s only 1% of all the abortions. This is still a large number of abortions in the world.

Abortion has always been a controversial issue. The majority of Americans are somewhere in between the two extremes: allowing abortion up until the moment of birth or pushing for a nationwide ban. Kennedy’s position won’t help his campaign. It’s already a long shot.
