After the attempted assassination attempt on Donald Trump, former president and presumed GOP nominee, Vice President Kamala Harris, and President Joe Biden have canceled scheduled fundraisers and campaign stops. Harris was scheduled to visit Florida on Tuesday and speak to “Republican women and independent women” regarding Trump’s position on “reproductive rights.” Harris’ song-and-dance is to trumpet the death of innocent babies.

In response to the assassination of former President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania, Vice President Kamala Harris postponed a trip to South Florida.
The vice president was originally planning to travel to Palm Beach, Florida, on Tuesday, 16th July for a moderated discussion alongside Republican women, to discuss Trump’s position on reproductive rights.
Her office released a statement just hours before Biden took the stage in Butler.
In response to the current situation in Pennsylvania, Biden’s campaign officials have said that her plans have changed.
A new statement stated that “in light of the horrific Pennsylvania shooting, the president’s planned Florida campaign trip has been postponed.”
Harris has visited Florida three times in the past year. Why? Measure 4 is a proposed amendment that would codify Florida’s right to abortion. Florida, a red state with a heartbeat law already in place (a law which was upheld by Florida’s Supreme Court), is an uphill task for the Biden administration to convince Republicans and other moderates who are pro-abortion to vote yes on the measure. Donald Trump, whom Harris called a danger to democracy, almost died on Saturday. It would be a poor idea and even worse taste to convince Republicans that adding the killing of babies to the Constitution was a matter of urgency.
Biden was also scheduled to travel to Texas on Monday for a speech at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library in honor of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. This trip was also canceled.
UPDATE:
President Biden’s trip to Texas tomorrow for a fundraiser and a civil rights library opening have been canceled by the White House.
Vice-President Harris’ trip to Florida for a pro-choice event, which was set for Tuesday, has also been canceled.
Both cancelations…

Press release from the LBJ Library:
Joe Biden, the President of the United States, will give a keynote speech at the LBJ Presidential Library on Monday, July 15th, 2024 to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act. President Biden will be joined by other dignitaries in a live-streamed public program that will take place at the LBJ Auditorium.
Mark K. Updegrove is the President & CEO of the LBJ Foundation and has a presidential history. He said: “We are proud to host President Biden at the LBJ Library in honor of the 60th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act.” It is appropriate that he return to the Library as our 46th president to mark this landmark, whose administration is dedicated to pursuing a “comprehensive approach” to advancing racial equality for all.
The AP spins Biden’s cancellation as a refocus on security issues and part of Biden’s “appeal for unity” after the attempted attack on Trump.
Biden immediately denounced and spoke to Trump about the shooting. The campaign team is unsure how to handle the political fallout of the attack on Biden, who he hopes to defeat during the November elections. The White House announced that he postponed a trip to Texas, where he had planned to speak at the Lyndon B. Johnson Presidential Library on the 60th Anniversary of the Civil Rights Act, in response to the Trump rally shooting.
The word “grappling” should be used. The campaign rhetoric has all been based on the idea that Trump will bring violence and be a danger to democracy. This terrible campaign ad, which reflects the Biden campaign tactics, has been running for months in Atlanta.
People now clearly understand that Trump and the Republicans are not the ones who threaten democracy.
The two major platforms of the Democrat Party are now essentially dissolved. Someone attempted to violently kill a presidential candidate. The shooter was a child, and if he had succeeded, the image of Trump’s head blowing up would be forever etched in their minds. It’s a good thing the shooter didn’t succeed. Nobody wants to hear about child homicide under the thinly veiled guise of “reproductive liberty” or how a former Democrat President helped enact the Civil Rights Act in 1964 when the current Democrat President has done everything he can to deny Donald Trump’s civil liberties and rights, and could have even been complicit with the Secret Service inability to protect him. Not just Trump. Biden has targeted American citizens who protest or pray in front of abortion centers, doctors who denounce the mutilation and profit-making of children in the name of gender confusion, and parents who simply want to see their children prosper and live in safety.
Biden-Harris, as well as the entire Democrat Party, are struggling to retake control of the narrative about their administration and this election. They don’t know that their efforts are too little too late. Biden-Harris’s campaign is now irrelevant. Trump’s platform will be further cemented at the Republican National Convention this week, and the attention of the American public is now firmly focused on Trump because of the attempted assassination. Biden has not yet officially lost the election, but they’ve already lost.
