Kamala Harris is a sham to the Democratic Party, the American people, and herself. Only hours after Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the presidential race in 2024, Kamala Harris addressed members of NCAA championship teams on the South Lawn of the White House.
The day went as you would expect.
In her first public outing since Biden ended his bid for a second term Sunday, Vice President Kamala Harris encouraged the crowd to applaud President Biden awkwardly on Monday. Harris was endorsed to succeed him.
“Joe Biden’s legacy of accomplishment over the past three years is unmatched in modern history. In one term, he has already …,” Harris said in a speech on the White House South Lawn, before stopping mid-sentence to add, “Yes, you may clap.”
Harris’ trademark laugh, which is often described as a cackle by critics, was delivered while Harris paused at an event honoring both the women’s and men’s NCAA Championship teams.
It’s a cackle because that is what her “trademark laugh,” is. What about the constant begging for applause? This is pathetic.
It’s not a good start to a presidential run. Kamala Harris has never excelled at public communication.
The vice president did not waste any time in praising the departing president, even though this event was intended to be a campaign launch for the incoming president.
“Our President, Joe Biden wanted to be here today. He feels much better, is recovering quickly, and looks forward to returning the road,” Harris told the student-athletes before she launched into a political tribute for her boss.
She said, “In one term, he’s already exceeded the legacy of many presidents who served two terms.”
He has indeed accomplished a great deal in just one term. He’s accomplished a lot in one term, for sure.
The Vice President went on to say:
Beau, the son of President Biden, introduced me to him. Beau used to tell me stories of his father when we were both attorneys general. He talked about Joe Biden as a father and a man.
Beau was, at least relative, the “good” son before he passed away in Iraq, or, excuse me, died of brain cancer, in Water Reed Hospital. Beau’s dad lied to the family about this. It is unclear why he lied so often.
We can now turn our attention to Kamala Harris, who, during her tenure as California’s attorney general, employed state prisoners for free, and extended their sentences to do so. We also have to consider her failures as border czar.
Democrats on the whole fruited plane must be breathing a huge sigh today, now that Joe Biden has been removed from the presidential race. It is a nervous sigh because Kamala Harris isn’t and will never be ready for primetime. Her record and appeal are non-existent.
Trump’s campaign on the other has almost certainly already formulated a strategy to take on the vice president. They were prepared to face Joe Biden, and they will also be ready to face Kamala Harris if she becomes the nominee.
