I admit it, I like Netflix. During the pandemic when the Overlords in California forced us to stay in our living room for two years, I watched many terrible movies and some quality entertainment. It’s always hit-or-miss with the streaming service.
After Reed Hastings, co-founder of Netflix, revealed that he had donated $7 million to the Harris-Walz Campaign in July, I might soon join the many who have canceled the service. Imagine that my hard-earned money went to those socialist weirdos.
Congrats to Kamala Harris — now it is time to win

Many customers said no to the offer at that time.
Netflix’s cancellations increased dramatically after Reed Hastings, its co-founder, revealed that he had donated $7 million to the Vice President Kamala Harris campaign.
Bloomberg, citing Antenna, a researcher, reported that cancellations on the streaming platform in the United States almost tripled after Hastings’ massive donation to a Super PAC supporting Harris’ presidential campaign.
Bloomberg reported that Netflix subscribers reportedly canceled their subscriptions in February at a rate higher than any other month since 2024.

Indeed–why? Why, for example, would a beer manufacturer feel the need get involved in divisive politics about transgender? I’m usually not Mr. Boycott Bud Light, I’m not usually Mr. Even if my kids were still on the Disney stage, I wouldn’t feel the need to visit Disneyland for years since they decided gender politics were more important than storytelling.
Every time I watch a Netflix series, I will be thinking to myself, “Wait, they support that jazz-handed Communist, Tim Walz.”

The Hollywood company has shifted blame, claiming that Hastings’ move had nothing to do with the drop in subscribers.
The outlet attributed an increase in cancellations to the latest announcement by the company that it would phase out its lowest-cost option.
Bloomberg’s article notes that the 26th of July was the worst day in terms of Netflix cancellations this year. Three days earlier, the news of Hastings’ generous donation to Harris was made public.
It’s amazing how I missed the news back in July. But it’s never too early to say goodbye to Netflix. Today is a good day. Your overpriced services are not worth it if the money goes to a campaign that is hell-bent on destroying America as we know it. Good riddance.
