You might not realize how hostile the majority of people in those areas have been towards Trump – or even the idea of Trump – since the moment that he walked up the golden escalator back in 2015. This could change now that President-elect Donald Trump has won a landslide over the far-left Kamala Harri. The red wave was felt in blue states as well.

The supporters of Donald Trump are not keeping their feelings to themselves. They wear MAGA hats at cafes and celebrate on social media.

 

Why it matters: Trump’s margins between 2016 and 2020 have improved in nearly every state including most blue cities such as New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

• Many supporters of Vice-President Harris are struggling with the idea that their neighbors may not have voted as they did.

Since the last few elections, “secret” Trump votes have been a popular phenomenon.

 

• Two out of three people who kept their decision secret before the 2016 elections voted for Trump, according to a study by Columbia Business School.
