Pentagon Confirms More US Troops in Syria Than Previously Known

Kamala Harris made several stupid statements during her election campaign.

 

One of her worst claims was, “As of today, not a single member of the United States Military is on active duty in any combat zone anywhere in the world for the first time in this century.”

 

This was nonsense because there are troops in Iraq and Syria fighting ISIS, not to mention the Houthis. This utterly clueless woman tried to sell something that did not exist as an accomplishment.

 

But at least, even if she’s clueless, the military would know, right?

 

Perhaps not Biden’s military.

 

Listen to Pat Ryder, Pentagon spokesperson, explain that he has “recently” learned that there are 2,000 troops in Syria and not the 900 they have been telling us.

 

 

He said that they “recently discovered” that these numbers were higher due to the current situation in Syria. “Asked to investigate it,” he found out Thursday that there are in fact approximately 2,000 soldiers in Syria.

 

Ryder explained, “As I understood it and as was explained to me, these additional forces were temporary rotational forces who deployed to meet changing mission requirements. The core 900 deployers, on the other hand, are on longer-term deployments.”

 

Wait a second. “Recently learned?” You’re the one who should be telling us about deployments, aren’t you? You didn’t even know this existed before? How can he say that the military “recently” learned how many people are there? How long has the group been in place? The report didn’t answer this question.

 

It’s no wonder that they failed seven audits. They are really this stupid?

 

He denied that there had been any attempt to hide the number, and claimed he learned the number only on Thursday morning before his briefing.

 

 

He said that he was “sensitive from a diplomatic security and operation standpoint.”

 

If that were true, then it would be still sensitive today. It seems that it is not. This doesn’t seem to make much sense.

 

Either they have been lying to us or they are blathering idiots. Or both.

 

I guess one of the main reasons why we’re hearing about this is because President-elect Trump will be arriving soon and he is about to learn about it. It’s a big deal that the spokesperson said he was unaware of the fact that the number is more than twice what you stated. How can we trust anything they tell us?

 

We need to reorient ourselves and put real adults in charge.
