Brendan Carr, Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the Federal Communications Commission, was interviewed on Fox News “Sunday Morning Futures”. He vowed that he would shut down Big Tech’s “censorship cartel”, which has silenced many Americans, and many news outlets (almost exclusively conservative).

Trump’s appointee seemed to be a man who didn’t want to play games.

“Combatting tech censorship will be one of my top priorities.” He told Jackie DeAngelis, “Sunday Morning Futures’ guest host”, that we need to restore Americans’ right to freedom of speech.

“You [DeSangelis] have mentioned Facebook and other firms. They were part of a cartel that worked with advertisers to censor speech. They have worked with government officials to censor the rights to free speech of ordinary Americans. This has to stop because censorship doesn’t only mean stopping work. It’s all about stopping ideas.”

Watch:

Carr said that by violating our right to free speech you are standing between America’s economic prosperity.

“America is the land of pioneers, people who have pushed boundaries and frontiers. When you silence speech and ideas, we can unleash America’s prosperity once again. “This is why people feel a shift in the air, as they know President Trump will lead another great American recovery because this blanket of government regulation is going away and our economy will flourish again.”

In 2021, her group filed a comment as a member with the FCC asking if Republicans were to be shot because of their opinions. The threat is enforced silence, not my decision to stand up against the censorship cartel and for the rights of free speech of ordinary Americans.

Google, Twitter, Meta/Facebook, and other sites were notorious for censoring opinions that departed from the official line, often at the bidding of the Biden/Harris administration. This was particularly true during the COVID-19 pandemic when anyone who spoke out about the origin of the virus or the efficacy and/or risks of the mRNA vaccinations would be de-platformed or canceled. The tech overlords have tried to shut down websites like ours that bring you the truth by demonetizing us (meaning they refuse to show ads when one of our authors does not toe the line).

After the lies of Big Media and the Administration were exposed, people who got COVID despite being told they wouldn’t receive the shot, as well as Joe Biden’s disastrous performance in the debate where he blew the mainstream narrative, the censorship has improved.

Once the emperor was shown to have no clothes, it became harder for them to shut down stories about things that were true. That being said, they can and do regularly still censor when they feel like it. If Elon Musk hadn’t shown up and fought for free speech on the X platform, we may very well have been looking at a Kamala Harris administration come January.

I am extremely hopeful that Carr will be able to prevail in this battle. The insidious efforts of Big Tech, Big Government, and Big Media against free speech have arguably led us to one of the most divisive and destructive presidents of American history, none other than Joe Biden.

Brendan, let loose the hounds.
