Senator Colton Moore, Who Challenged Fani Willis, Arrested After Capitol Altercation

The Georgia Capitol was the scene of an unbelievable event on Thursday. It was all captured on video.

North Georgia Senator Colton Moore, who was a member of the Georgia Senate at the time, was arrested and knocked to the ground for trying to enter the House Chamber in the Georgia State Capitol. Moore was barred from the House chambers after remarks were made against House Speaker David Ralston

Moore called Ralston “one of Georgia’s most corrupt leaders I have ever seen in my life” as senators considered a resolution naming a building on the University of North Georgia for him. Moore made this statement while Ralston’s entire family was watching from the Senate balcony. Moore’s words were denounced by Ralston’s replacement, Republican House Speaker Jon Burns, of Newington. He barred Moore from entering the House.

Moore said Burns’ order was illegal and posted on X a copy of a letter he wrote to the Speaker stating that he would attend the House the following day and that his order barring him from entry was illegal.

“Under Article 3, Section 4, Paragraph 1, of the Georgia Constitution, this is an obligatory session.” Due to the supremacy doctrine, any conduct by a Speaker, official, or state employee in conflict with our constitution is invalid.

Moore tried to enter the House, but security officials barred him. A man pushed Moore to the floor. Moore was told that the situation had gotten out of hand by another person.

Moore said, “It’s gone too far. I have to be here. I am here because 200,000 people from northwest Georgia elected me.”

You’ll recall that Donald Trump was also taken to Fulton County Jail by the police. Moore’s team posted a picture of the incident on their X page. They are working to free Moore.

Moore may be remembered as the man who sparked an investigation into Fani Willis, a corrupt Fulton County DA going after Trump. Moore was suspended indefinitely from the GOP Caucus after the caucus stated that his call for an investigation “knowingly misled Georgians and Americans, creating unnecessary tension and hostility while putting his Caucus members and their families at personal risk.”

Moore called Republicans who didn’t want to investigate Willis “RINOs”, and encouraged his supporters to pressurize them. It was too much for Republicans to take in Georgia.

Moore and the Georgia GOP are not friendly, as they have barred him from the chamber during official legislative proceedings and he was pushed down by security.
