Congresswomen Crash Speaker Johnson’s Meeting with Treasury Sec. Bessent… All for DOGE?!

Two House Ways and Means Committee members decided to create political theatre in the Elon Musk/DOGE audit of the Department of the Treasury Payments. They interrupted a private House Speaker Mike Johnson meeting with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and House Ways and Means Committee Chair Jason Smith (R-MO).

Can you guess the party? I am sure you can do the math and figure it out.

Two House Democrats barged into the office of House Speaker Mike Johnson on Wednesday at the Capitol to demand answers about why Elon Musk’s government efficiency team was able to access taxpayers’ data.

Reps. Judy Chu of California and Gwen Moore of Wisconsin stormed into the speaker’s office during a scheduled meeting with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and House Ways and Means Chair Jason Smith, a Republican from Missouri.

The Washington Times reported a person present at the event who said, “Despite the rude and aggressive behavior of the speakers, the speaker was gracious enough to welcome the members into his office and listen to their concerns.”

Moore is Wisconsin’s Maxine Waters. She has represented the predominantly Black area in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, since 2004. No one can unseat her. Moore became famous during the COVID-19 pandemic when she was quarantined after testing positive for the virus. Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, who was facing losing her speakership, was at risk. Moore was, therefore, allowed to travel from Wisconsin to D.C. and vote for Pelosi.

On December 28, the congresswoman tweeted her positive test for COVID-19. She encouraged others to take preventative measures to prevent the spread.

“I am following guidance from my doctor and am isolating from others. I am thankful to be feeling well. And I do not foresee this disrupting my work for Wisconsin’s Fourth,” she tweeted.

She continued: “I encourage all to take steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by wearing a mask, washing hands, and maintaining social distance. “

Politico reported three other members of Congress, two Democrats, and one Republican, received special voting arrangements because they were exposed to the coronavirus. Their tests were negative.

Fox News reported on Representative Tim Ryan’s use of a plexiglass box for voting above the gallery.

Moore’s “theatre,” no matter how it is referred to, remains vile. Moore also voted in favor of pro-abortion measures, against forest management, and against protecting women’s sports from biological male athletes. Moore also opposed the Laken Riley Act.

Rep. Judy Chu (D-CA) noticed her colleague, Rep. Gwen Moore, posting on X about her plan to crash the private meeting between House Speaker Mike Johnson and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. Not wanting to miss out on the spotlight, Chu seized the moment for her own 15 minutes of fame.

They were particularly interested in learning how Mr. Musk and his colleagues from the Department of Government Efficiency gained access to the Treasury Department’s federal payments system. The congressional Democrats have criticized this and questioned its legality.

Yes, Jan. The plan was to maximize the video exposure and minimize damage. Moore managed to secure a CNN interview as a result of the incident.

Ms. Moore said that the Democrats were primarily interested in determining why Musk and his associates had access to taxpayer-sensitive data.

Moore said that [Speaker Johnson] had told him he would be looking into the matter. “I said it was very stressful. Even you did not know, and you are the Speaker. “

He knows but won’t say anything. This is why he’s Speaker and you’re not. Chu has another telling characteristic: she didn’t care about protecting Donald Trump when he refused to release his tax returns.

The definition of transparency is different depending on the person involved and the information revealed. Chu is also motivated by her close relationship with China’s Communist Party to remove Musk and the Treasury Department team.

Tucker Carlson on his former Fox News show in 2023 called Chu Chu for her ties. The Daily Caller was the only publication to have documented these facts.

Rep. Lance Goodwin (R-TX) faced backlash for his statement, giving Rep. Judy Chu ample opportunity to seize on the moment, accusing him of racism and xenophobia. However, as Ying Ma astutely pointed out, these accusations are Chu’s go-to defense whenever she’s challenged.

Ma claimed that Chu was opposed to a bipartisan group that would counter CCP’s threats and called Chu’s political views “poisonous”.

Ma said that when people use race-baiting, they aren’t telling the truth. Judy Chu had claimed that criticizing China this way would lead to anti-Asian violence. Ma said that Chu was the last to say that white supremacists are not responsible for most of the violent attacks on Asians.

Rinse. Repetition. Musk, DOGE, and CCP officials should continue to dig because some payments may point directly at Judy Chu’s cozy relationships with CCP officials.

The group expressed concerns about Musk’s associate’s access to information and their plans with it. They warned that “all the data…could…have been downloaded on thumb drives.”

Chu’s work is exceptional. Chu was part of a roundtable of local representatives and, like many Democrats, she didn’t know her elbows from her rear ends. Trump got her up to speed.

Johnson graciously asked the men to leave despite their rudeness and lack of protocol. He said that the House Ways and Means Committee may have the opportunity to supervise the situation next week.

“But this Monday, it could mean seven days after that. How much can be stolen in that time frame, I think, a lot,” Chu said.

Cry More, Judy
