Axios reported first that the FBI had discovered 2,400 documents relating to the assassination attempt on former President John F. Kennedy.
The secret documents that are being reviewed, which were among the 14,000 pages found in an audit prompted by a presidential executive order, may shed light on the lawsuit filed in 2022 by the Mary Ferrell Foundation, against the Biden Administration. The lawsuit claims that federal authorities did not turn over documents to the National Archives.
Such documents include:
- The recordings were sealed in the jailhouse of Carlos Marcello who was the Mafia boss from New Orleans. He claimed to have been involved in the murder.
- George Joannides, CIA station Miami.
- Missing Church Committee Records
- Attachments missing from assassination reports.
This development occurred after President Donald Trump had ordered the release of records. Sources told Axios, however, that intelligence agencies still recommend redactions for the files.
One White House official stated, “When POTUS finds out about this stonewalling he will be blown away.”
“This is total Deep State bulls***,” another added.
Trump’s adviser said: “Don’t get surprised if these records suddenly appear online. He wants to move forward and call this promise kept.”
Jefferson Morley, vice president of the Mary Ferrell Foundation called the new development “huge” and added, “It proves the FBI takes this seriously.”
The FBI has finally said, “Let’s comply with the President’s Order instead of continuing to keep the secrecy.”
