Zelensky Admits Uncertainty Over $100 Billion in U.S. Aid: ‘Don’t Know Where It All Went’

Volodymyr Zelensky, the Ukrainian president, revealed that the country had only received $76 billion from the United States in aid even though over $175 billion was authorized.

Zelensky claimed this in a recent interview he gave to the Associated Press. He admitted that he had no idea where the majority of funds allotted by the Biden Administration were.

It is even more shocking to see how casually and casually he says that he has no idea where the money has gone.

As the leader of a country at war and when I hear that the U.S. has given Ukraine hundreds of billions of dollars, I can confirm we have received over $75 billion. We’re talking tangibles because the aid was not in cash but instead came as weapons worth $70 billion.

“But it is not true that Ukraine received 200 billion dollars to support its army during the war,” he said. “I have no idea where that money has gone.”

Warning: Implied profanity

Zelensky quantifies his comments, suggesting that the aid could have taken different forms and not been properly accounted for. How about finding out where all the money, equipment, and weaponry went?

“Perhaps, it’s true in paper with hundreds and hundreds of programs – I’m not going to argue. And we’re extremely grateful for everything.” “But in reality, we received around $76 billion,” he said. “It is significant, but not $200 billion.”

Zelensky does not know where the 57 percent or so of taxpayers’ money that America has sent to Ukraine currently is.

It’s almost as if Sen. Rand Paul and Rep. Thomas Massie, both of whom are vocal advocates of audits of aid funds, were a rare pair of people who cared about what was happening to the money and/or the military equipment.

Massie, in 2022, wrote: “We should immediately cease payments to Ukraine and start a thorough audit on the $60 billion Joe Biden and Congress already sent there.”

Congress has never seriously considered cutting off the aid flowing to Ukraine because of accounting issues.

In 2023, the Pentagon announced a $6.2 billion accounting “error”. This led to a surplus of money that was later used to provide aid to Eastern European nations.

Sabrina Singh, then the Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary, announced the convenient mistake at a news conference. She noted that it occurred in fiscal years 2020 and 2022 as a result of overestimating the value sent to Ukraine.

Jake Tapper of CNN was also shocked when the original report stated that the error was $3 billion. He called it “a hell of an accounting mistake” and said it “provides much fodder for critics who claim there is not enough oversight.”

How did the money appear? Why did the first reaction be to send the money to Ukraine and not to the American people?

The situation got worse last January when corrupt officials from Ukraine were found to have stolen $40 million that was meant for the war against Russia.

The employees of a Ukrainian weapons firm were accused by the defense ministry of conspiring to steal money. Five people were detained, and another was being held as he tried to flee the country.

At the same time, the United States failed to account for more than $1 billion worth of military equipment and weapons that they provided to combat the invading Russian troops.

Former Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, in the final days of Joe Biden’s presidency, announced that the administration would pay $3.4 billion for the salaries of government bureaucrats in Ukraine.

NBC News reported that the money would be used to pay salaries of civil government employees and school staff, as well as healthcare workers and first responders.

At this point, it’s becoming a common theme. Imagine Zelensky hiding in one of these money booths with the air on and him grabbing and jumping at every dollar flying by.

Where is the rest?

President Trump may want to demand a complete and total shutdown of foreign assistance until we figure out what’s going on.
