Former Reps. Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman revealed recently how Democrats were pushing for what began as a $10 trillion bill to fight climate change.
Ten Trillion Dollars.
The two Squad rejects talked about the negotiations behind the scenes for their new show on Zeteo News Network. This is a project by MSNBC retread Mehdi Hazan.
The two former members will “get super honest” about American politics in the show “Bowman & Bush”.
Bush (D-MO) revealed in the first episode that progressives demanded a “climate-investment” when implementing the Build Back Better plan and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. The investment would include funding for “climate injustice.”
That price tag “kept going down, down, down,” according to Bush, insisting the money being taken away was “more money for lead pipes.”
“I believe it was 3.9 trillion.” Did it start at 3.9 trillion and then go down, or did it …” Bowman, D-NY?
Bush responded, “I thought it was at 10, then it went to 6, then to 3.”
What we ended up with were two bills- one at $1.9 trillion (Build Back Better) and another amended to $1.2 trillion in spending (Infrastructure)- that were thinly veiled climate and tax hike agenda boondoggles that sent inflation spiraling.
Imagine if it was $10 trillion.
Bush has been a long-time advocate of printing money to fund new progressive pet projects. The former legislator called for reparations of $14 trillion for slavery in America on Juneteenth 2023. He said it was a “good starting point.”
Bowman joined her in introducing legislation to push for this amount.
She demanded, “If we want a prosperous and peaceful future for everyone, America must make reparations.”
Bush stated that the United States had a legal and moral obligation to compensate for the enslavement and the lasting damage it caused millions of blacks.
It’s good that these two ideologies have no representation in Congress anymore. Who knows what legislation these two woke idealogues would push next and at what cost? Why stop at 14 trillion dollars?
It’s no wonder this dynamic duo gave farewell speeches to their congressional career, but nobody else showed up – except for their Squad teammates.
Who will watch their new show if nobody came to their goodbye speech? The first episode of their show has only received 71,000 views as I write this. That’s not impressive.
