Vice President JD Vance has indicated his expectation for “a lot of people to get indicted” as a consequence of the Department of Justice’s ongoing investigation into former President Barack Obama and other members of his administration. This investigation pertains to the discredited Russian collusion allegations.
Attorney General Pam Bondi initiated a grand jury investigation last week, which was prompted by a criminal referral from Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard. The investigation seeks to trace the origins of the narrative asserting Russian interference in the 2016 election.
According to reliable sources, Gabbard’s revelations on the Russian collusion theory implicated former president Obama, subsequently leading to President Trump labeling Obama as “guilty” of “treason”.
When asked by Fox News host Maria Bartiromo if he anticipates seeing indictments, VP Vance responded affirmatively. He emphasized, however, that indictments should be based on law and facts, not arbitrary decisions.
“But if you look at what Tulsi and [FBI Director] Kash Patel have revealed in the last couple of weeks, I don’t know how anybody can look at that and say that there wasn’t aggressive violations of the law,” said VP Vance. He asserted that documents suggest Obama and his team “defrauded the American people” by manipulating intelligence to align with Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign talking points.
Vance further accused the former administration of misrepresenting and exaggerating intelligence to support their narrative while suppressing contradictory information. In his words, they “laundered Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign talking points through the American intelligence services.”
Vice President Vance echoed President Trump’s sentiment, stating he firmly believes laws were violated and anticipates a significant number of indictments. He expressed his concern about the potential misuse of the intelligence community, stating, “What do you want our intelligence community to be doing? I want them to be catching bad guys… I don’t want them laundering Hillary Clinton’s campaign talking points into the American media and giving them this air of legitimacy.”
These allegations raise important questions about the integrity of our intelligence community and the actions of previous administration officials.
