‘Ketamine Queen’ to Plead Guilty in Matthew Perry’s Tragic Overdose Case

A significant development has been announced in the high-profile drug case involving the death of actor Matthew Perry. Jasveen Sangha, reputedly known in certain circles as the ‘Ketamine Queen’, has agreed to plead guilty to charges related to the overdose death of the former ‘Friends’ star.”

Sangha’s change of plea, from not guilty to guilty, will allow her to avoid a trial that was scheduled for August. This plea agreement makes her the final defendant, out of a total of five, to reach such an arrangement with federal prosecutors. The evidence suggests that Sangha was a significant figure in the distribution of illegal drugs, with charges including conspiracy to distribute ketamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and ketamine.

This development follows earlier reports that Sangha and Dr. Salvador Plasencia, another defendant in the case, were the primary targets of the investigation. Three other defendants, Dr. Mark Chavez, Kenneth Iwamasa, and Erik Fleming, previously agreed to plead guilty, providing statements that implicated Sangha and Plasencia.

Perry was found deceased in his Los Angeles home by his assistant, Iwamasa, on Oct. 28, 2023. The cause of death was determined to be an overdose of ketamine, a drug typically used as a surgical anesthetic. The actor had reportedly been using the drug as an off-label treatment for depression, obtaining it from Plasencia and later Sangha.

This raises important questions about the circumstances of Perry’s fatal overdose. Reports indicate that Perry and Iwamasa were introduced to the Sangha through Perry’s friend Fleming. It is alleged that Perry purchased large quantities of ketamine from Sangha, including the lethal doses. On the day of Perry’s death, Sangha reportedly suggested to Fleming that they erase all their text message exchanges.

Following the actor’s death, Sangha’s North Hollywood residence was searched by Drug Enforcement Administration agents who discovered significant quantities of methamphetamines and ketamine. Sangha was subsequently indicted, arrested, and has remained in jail since.

In conclusion, the facts point to a tragic end for Matthew Perry, who struggled with addiction for many years. His life and untimely death serve as a somber reminder of the dangerous world of illicit drug use. As of now, none of the defendants in this case has been sentenced.
