Schumer Downplays D.C. Crime, Gets Publicly Embarrassed by Senator Mullin and His Own Security Team

The left will tell you that they are masters of facts and logic. But when it comes to their narrative on crime in Washington, D.C., it’s a different story. They’re not dealing in facts; they’re dealing in flat-out lies and emotional appeals.

Democrat Congressman Max Frost appears on CNN, presents an edited version of a discussion that’s more choppy than a Joe Biden speech, and then frames it as a fact-based argument about crime and guns. This is simply factually inaccurate. The reality is, the weapons used in D.C. street crime are almost all handguns, despite D.C. being classified as a “gun-free” zone. So, Frost’s argument, like many from the left, crumbles under the weight of the facts.

This brings me to my next argument. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, a top-tier player in the deception game. With Trump striving to improve safety in D.C., Schumer uses a podcast appearance to spin an alternative narrative. According to him, D.C. is safe, and Trump’s focus on crime is merely a distraction. By definition, this is a non-argument.

Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin highlights the absurdity of Schumer’s claim. He points out that Schumer, being a leader in the Senate, doesn’t walk anywhere by himself. He always has multiple armed Capitol Police officers providing 24/7 protection. This is the reality Schumer conveniently ignores when he talks about feeling safe walking in D.C.

The data is crystal clear on this. D.C. crime is a serious issue, and attempts to downplay it are disingenuous at best. Horace Cooper of Project 21 highlights the dire situation, noting that it’s safer in Baghdad than Washington, D.C. So much for Schumer’s narrative of safety.

Here’s the problem with that logic. Schumer and others on the left aren’t presenting a fact-based argument. Instead, they’re attempting to gaslight the public, ignoring reality and presenting a false narrative. It fits them perfectly.

To conclude, when the left tells you their narrative about D.C. crime, are they presenting you with facts, or are they merely pushing their agenda? The answer, fundamentally, is the latter. It’s time we demand intellectual consistency and reject emotional counterarguments. The reality of D.C. crime cannot be ignored.
