A violent incident at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement facility in Dallas, Texas, has prompted nationwide security measures.
On Wednesday, a lone gunman identified as Joshua Jahn attacked an ICE facility in Dallas. According to the Department of Homeland Security, Jahn fired indiscriminately from a rooftop, killing one detainee and injuring two others before taking his own life. The FBI reports recovering a bullet with “ANTI-ICE” inscribed on it at the scene.
FBI Director Kash Patel stated that investigators are working around the clock to analyze evidence from the shooter’s residence and personal effects. A handwritten note recovered from the scene reportedly expressed the intent to instill fear in ICE agents.
