Michigan State’s Education Program Pushes Communist Ideology on Future Teachers

The nation’s supposedly top-ranked elementary education program at Michigan State University is actively indoctrinating future teachers with radical leftist ideology, compelling students to embrace anti-capitalist perspectives and critical race theory as prerequisites for their teaching credentials.

First-year education student Adrianna Mobley encountered this ideological pressure immediately upon entering the mandatory “Social Foundations of Justice and Equity in Education” course. “Everything is political,” her professor declared on day one, setting the tone for what would become a semester-long immersion in far-left doctrine.

The facts paint a troubling picture of systematic left-wing bias in American education. According to Pew Research data, 58% of K-12 teachers align with the Democratic Party, significantly outpacing the general population’s 47%. Even more concerning, a 2022 Educational Freedom Institute study revealed that 68% of K-12 teachers and an overwhelming 93% of college professors directed their political donations to Democratic candidates and committees.

Michigan State’s required course materials explicitly promote communist ideology, featuring prominent placement of Angela Davis, a former Communist Party official and Black Panther Party collaborator. Davis’s featured lecture explicitly states that “racism is integrally linked to capitalism,” arguing that fighting racism requires dismantling the capitalist system entirely.

When Mobley attempted to challenge these assertions by citing conservative arguments about individual responsibility versus systemic racism, her professor – who publicly identifies with “she/they” pronouns – dismissed the student’s perspective, insisting that “systems” perpetuate racism through “operators” who maintain “normal” power structures.

This ideological conditioning of future educators represents a clear and present danger to American education. Rather than focusing on fundamental teaching skills, these programs are creating a pipeline of activist educators ready to implement critical race theory and anti-capitalist ideology in elementary classrooms across the nation.

The infiltration of radical left-wing ideology into teacher training programs explains the growing disconnect between traditional American values and the current state of public education. When the top-ranked elementary education program in the country mandates communist theory as core curriculum, parents must question whether public schools can still be trusted with their children’s education.

This systematic indoctrination of future teachers represents more than just academic debate – it threatens the very foundation of American educational values, including merit-based achievement, individual responsibility, and free market principles that have historically driven American excellence and innovation.
