ICE Agent Dodges Death as Illegal Immigrant Turns Vehicle Into Battering Ram

When Desperation Meets Enforcement

There’s video now. Grainy, unsettling footage from a San Antonio parking lot that shows exactly what happens when lawlessness collides with consequence. An illegal immigrant from Cuba, Robyn Argote Brooks, decided his best option when surrounded by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents was to turn his sedan into a weapon.

You know what’s remarkable? Not that this happened. What’s remarkable is how often it’s happening now.

Brooks was boxed in. Standard procedure for a targeted vehicle stop. ICE agents had their vehicles positioned around his sedan, creating what should have been an unmistakable message: this ends here, peacefully. But peaceful wasn’t on the agenda Tuesday morning. Instead, Brooks threw his car into reverse, missing an agent by inches before slamming into a federal SUV. When that didn’t work, he shifted forward and rammed another ICE vehicle, accelerating even as agents shouted commands and attempted to stop him.

Eventually, an agent shattered the driver’s window and physically pulled Brooks from the car. That’s how you make an arrest when someone’s actively trying to kill you.

The Numbers Don’t Lie

Here’s where it gets worse. The Department of Homeland Security reports that ICE officers are facing a 3,200 percent increase in vehicular attacks. Read that again. Not a 32 percent bump. Not even a 320 percent surge. We’re talking about a thirty-two-fold explosion in people using cars as weapons against federal law enforcement.

Since January 21st, these attacks have become almost routine. Three Venezuelan illegals were arrested after ambushing and attacking an ICE officer during a traffic stop. The pattern’s clear. The danger’s real. And it’s escalating.

This isn’t some abstract policy debate anymore. We’re watching people weaponize two-ton vehicles against Americans doing their jobs. These aren’t traffic accidents or misunderstandings. They’re deliberate attempts to harm or kill federal agents.

What We’re Really Talking About

Let’s be honest about what’s happening here. When you eliminate consequences, you invite chaos. When you spend years telling illegal immigrants that enforcement is cruel, that borders are imaginary, that ICE agents are villains, some people take that message to heart. They believe they’re justified in fighting back. They think ramming a federal vehicle is resistance instead of felony assault.

The anti-ICE crowd has blood on their hands for this. Every politician who demonized immigration enforcement, every activist who called for abolishing ICE, every sanctuary city mayor who obstructed federal law, they all contributed to this environment. They made it acceptable, even noble, to defy immigration authorities.

And now agents are dodging cars.

Brooks came here illegally from Cuba. He had no right to be in this country. When confronted with that reality, he chose violence. That’s not desperation. That’s criminal behavior, plain and simple. The agent he nearly ran over has a family. The officers who had to physically extract him from that vehicle went home that night probably shaking with adrenaline.

Where This Goes

We’ve created a situation where enforcing immigration law requires tactical gear and defensive driving skills. Where a routine arrest can turn into a demolition derby. Where federal agents need to treat every vehicle stop as a potential ambush.

This is what happens when the rule of law becomes optional. When borders mean nothing. When consequence disappears.

The footage from San Antonio should be required viewing for every member of Congress, every governor running a sanctuary jurisdiction, every talking head who treats immigration enforcement like it’s optional. Watch that agent jump out of the way. Watch Brooks ram those vehicles. Watch what happens when you tell people that American sovereignty doesn’t matter.

ICE agents aren’t asking for much. They’re asking to do their jobs without getting run over. They’re asking for backup instead of obstruction. They’re asking Americans to care that a 3,200 percent increase in attacks means something.

Brooks is in custody now. But there’ll be another incident tomorrow, another next week. Until we decide that enforcing our laws matters more than political posturing, agents will keep dodging vehicles and pulling people through shattered windows.

That’s not immigration policy. That’s madness.
