Warren Gives Pass to Democrat’s SS Tattoo While She Condemned Hegseth’s Cross

Let’s talk about hypocrisy so blatant it practically demands its own campaign ad. Elizabeth Warren just endorsed Graham Platner for Senate in Maine, calling him “the real deal” and praising his grit. There’s just one problem. This oyster farmer turned political hopeful had a chest tattoo of a skull and crossbones that looked an awful lot like the symbol worn by the SS. You know, Hitler’s personal death squad.

Warren’s response when pressed? She brushed it off faster than a teleprompter malfunction. “Look, he has apologized for that, and he’s out there talking to the people of Maine every single day,” she told Huffpost. Case closed, apparently. Platner claims ignorance about the symbol’s meaning and has since had it removed. Fine. People make mistakes. But Warren’s selective amnesia is the real story here.

Remember Pete Hegseth? The now confirmed Secretary of Defense had Christian tattoos that sent Warren and her progressive allies into full panic mode. She practically sounded the alarm bells, suggesting his ink made him a potential threat. His tattoos included a Jerusalem cross and the phrase “Deus Vult,” which translates to “God wills it.” These are symbols of Christian faith, not genocide. Yet Warren treated them like warning signs of extremism.

The contrast couldn’t be more stark if it came with flashing neon lights. A Christian cross gets you labeled dangerous. An actual Nazi affiliated symbol gets you an endorsement video and a pass because you said sorry. This isn’t about forgiveness or second chances. It’s about political convenience dressed up as principle.

Warren’s entire brand revolves around moral authority. She positions herself as the Senate’s conscience, the progressive warrior fighting for what’s right. But this situation reveals something else entirely. The rules change depending on which team you’re on. If you’re advancing the progressive agenda, your past indiscretions become forgivable mistakes. If you’re a conservative Christian, your faith symbols become evidence of extremism.

Platner’s 41 years old. He’s not some kid who got inked without thinking. The SS symbol isn’t obscure historical trivia. It’s one of the most recognizable emblems of evil in human history. His claim of ignorance strains credulity, but let’s say we take him at his word. Even then, Warren’s double standard remains indefensible.

The American people aren’t stupid. They see through this kind of selective outrage. They watch as the same politicians who demand accountability from their opponents suddenly discover the virtue of forgiveness when it’s their own candidates under scrutiny. This breeds the exact cynicism that’s poisoning our political discourse.

Conservative values include grace and redemption. Nobody’s perfect. But grace without consistency is just manipulation. Warren had every right to scrutinize Hegseth’s background during his confirmation process. That’s her job as a senator. But she forfeited the moral high ground the moment she gave Platner a free pass while condemning Hegseth for symbols of Christian faith.

This matters because it exposes how the left weaponizes accusations of extremism. They’re not actually concerned about dangerous ideology. They’re concerned about conservative ideology. A Nazi symbol gets explained away. A Christian cross gets treated like a red flag. The message is clear: traditional faith is more threatening to progressives than actual historical ties to fascism.

Warren calls Platner “the real deal.” Maybe she’s right. Maybe he really does represent what modern progressivism has become. A movement so committed to its own power that it’ll overlook almost anything if you’re advancing the cause. That’s not leadership. That’s opportunism wearing a populist mask.
