The traditional conservative position has always been straightforward. If you’re a guest in someone’s home, you respect their rules. America isn’t just handing out visas for fun. It means government that focuses on its core responsibilities, and protecting American citizens from preventable harm sits right at the top of that list. You don’t need a massive bureaucracy to make this work. You just need officials willing to enforce standards without apology.

The State Department also started revoking visas for foreign nationals convicted of fraud. Same principle applies. We’re not running a charity for international criminals. We’re a sovereign nation with the right to decide who gets the privilege of being here.
