Margarita Cielo Balbuena, speaking through an interpreter alongside House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Rep. Rob Menendez, called for lawmakers to become “champions of a change in the immigration laws.” She wants a path to citizenship for anyone who’s been here at least seven years. She also wants an end to immigration raids that she claims are terrorizing Dover, New Jersey.

Let’s be clear about what we’re witnessing here. This isn’t a story about compassion or the American Dream. This is about entitlement dressed up as advocacy, and it reveals everything wrong with how the left approaches immigration policy.

For nearly four decades, this woman has lived outside the legal framework that millions of people around the world respect and follow. People who wait in line. People who fill out paperwork. People who respect our sovereignty enough to enter through the front door rather than simply deciding the rules don’t apply to them.

And now she’s upset about enforcement? The raids she calls terrorizing are simply the enforcement of laws that have been on the books longer than she’s been breaking them.
