Hunter Biden’s Legal Team filed a recent motion for the dismissal of the lawsuit he brought against an ex-White House employee who had published the contents on his laptop. The reason given was financial problems.
The motion was filed in Los Angeles on Wednesday. It relates to Garrett Ziegler’s suit against the former first child. Court documents show the personal and financial issues Biden faced in 2018. This includes being affected by wildfires at Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles.
According to the court filing, Biden filed the first lawsuit against the government in September 2023. However, he “doesn’t have the resources” to pursue the case.
The document says that “Plaintiff’s income has been significantly reduced, and he has a large amount of debt, in the range of millions.”

According to the document, Biden “had trouble” in finding a job and a home.
The document says that “this lack of resources was exacerbated by the Pacific Palisades fires of early January, which upended Plaintiff’s life, rendering his rental home unlivable over a long period. Like many other people in this situation, Plaintiff found it hard to find a permanent place to reside as well as to earn a livelihood.”
The Plaintiff’s time and energy must be spent on his relocation and the damages he suffered due to fires. He also has to pay for the living costs of his family.
Biden revealed his earnings for his art in a document filed on Wednesday.

“In the 2 to 3 years before December 2023, I sold 27 pieces of art at an average price of $54,481.48, but since then, I have only sold 1 piece of art for $36,000,” Biden wrote. “Similarly, for my book sales, in the six months before the statements (April 1, 2023 through September 30, 2023), based on the September 30, 2023 statement, 3,161 copies of my book were sold, but in the six months after the statements, only approximately 1,100 books were sold.”
The average selling price for 27 works of art was $54,481.48, which means that he would have made nearly $1 million from the sale of his artwork. Biden also stated that after his book’s success, he had expected paid appearances and speaking engagements. “But that hasn’t happened”, Biden wrote.
This significant drop in income has affected my ability to repay my substantial debt. As reported by the media, this is several million dollars. Due to this, I’m not in a situation where I could borrow money.
