Former Keystone Worker Calls Out Biden On His Gas Prices, Energy Independence, & Inflation

Published on

President Joe Biden has been attacking American energy independence since taking office and some workers have had enough. One former Keystone XL Pipeline contractor shared with Fox News that he believes the president’s policies are leading to the highest gas prices the nation has ever seen. He said everything Biden touches is a “failure” and that he’s had enough.

“It ain’t nothing but a total failure. We went from America first to America last. Trump had it going on. The thing about it is that we’ve got all these high prices of oil and gas, we’ve got drilling rigs stacked, we’ve got roustabout crews ready to go, we’ve got pipeline contractors with all of their equipment is stacked in the yards. And I can tell you right now, we can put America to work next week if we needed to,” said laid-off pipeline worker Lynn Allen.

The Biden Administration has unsuccessfully tried to pressure the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) to ramp up its oil production. U.S energy supporters have blasted Biden over the move, noting how OPEC has slowed down production dramatically since the COVID-19 pandemic. Biden has continued to damage the U.S by halting the construction of the Keystone Pipeline, pausing new oil and gas leases on federal lands, and imposing further restrictions on U.S oil companies.

Larry Behrens, communications director at Power the Future, shared that Biden’s move to push foreign countries for more energy production after destroying thousands of American jobs is just “pathetic.” The project was expected to employ more than 11,000 Americans. The Keystone XL Pipeline Owner is also seeking $15B in damages after Biden’s decision to block the permit.

“Skyrocketing gas prices and dependence on foreign energy are direct consequences of Joe Biden’s actions to cancel pipelines and shut off public lands to development. It’s safe to say the 1970s are calling, and they want their energy policy back,” Behrens said.

During the most recent CNN town hall, Biden has continued to defend the issue of rising gas prices and claim that there’s not much action he can take on the prices. “I don’t see anything that’s going to happen in the meantime that’s going to significantly reduce gas prices. A lot of Middle Eastern folks want to talk to me. I’m not sure I’m going to talk to them, but the point is, it’s about gas production,” Biden claimed

Many critics note that Biden could be proactive in the issue by admitting his mistakes in canceling the Keystone Project. Sen. Ted Cruz has argued that ending the energy policies has actually made the environment “worse.”

“The Canadians are not going to leave the oil in the tar sands. They are producing that oil and they will either send it south on trucks or trains or they are going to send it west on ships to China. Either of those pollutes more, emits more carbon, and has a greater risk of a spill than a pipeline so they make the environment worse,” Cruz explains.

Cruz went on to emphasize how the Biden Administration is targeting and destroying U.S energy production while asking OPEC and Russia to produce more. He states how OPEC and Russia produce “dirtier” oil and gas than American oil and gas, adding that it only does more damage to the environment.

Biden has continued to destroy our freedom and finances through fuel prices, electric, and energy costs. He always campaigned on “unity” but he never talked about how much it would cost.
